I set this Olafus Security Camera with motion-activated floodlights up above my garage door and it instantly made a difference. The 2K QHD video quality is outstanding. Sharp and vibrant during the day and the enhanced COLOR NIGHT VISION gives me color-correct FACE ID at night, even in low light. I am amazed how the color night vision lets me see details that other camera systems we have had would simply not see. The three 55-Watt Flood Lights offer 5500 lumens of Bright White light that effectively illuminates a” safety zone” leading to our front door. We can SEE our garage before we open the rollup doors, and it shines brightly on our front door for easy entry. The motion detection is precise, and I like being able to fine-tune the zones, so I do not get constant alerts from passing cars. The lights are strong enough to light up my entire driveway, and I can adjust the brightness depending on how far I need to see into the darkness. I can also DIM them for safer outside time with the neighbors in the evenings. I appreciate having the choice to trigger the siren and flashing light from my phone or use the TWO-WAY TALK feature to query someone at my front door. It gives me REAL peace of mind when I am travelling. I use a 256 GB SD card for storage, so no cloud uploads or storage charges. It keeps all my recordings local, and everything is easy to access. This is our THIRD Olafus light on the property (Newest Model) and is an updated version of our earlier model. This new light fits right into the security protocols we initiated when the first two lights were installed in January. This light fit into the system without adding any surprises or variations to our routine. These are excellent lights. The Olafus Floodlight Camera has been a great upgrade for my home’s security and lighting. The 2K QHD video quality is clear and sharp, giving me confidence that I can see details even at night thanks to the impressive color night vision. The motion-activated floodlights are very bright, and I like that the three light heads are adjustable so I can cover different areas of my yard. The dimmable feature lets me control the brightness easily, which is helpful depending on the time of day. This is a descent security camera. It lacks in some areas, shines in others. Strengths: -Incredible light. Since it has to be installed on a wired light fixture, the light is incredibly powerful. The motion sensor works really well. No problem seeing faces in the middle of the night. -Strong connectivity. I have a similar security/light that has major connection problems through the wifi (very inconsistent). This camera connects immediately 100% of the time. -Descent image quality. 2K is starting to get a bit dated, but the image quality is pretty good. Problems: -Configuration. The app couldn't find the camera doing automatic search. I wound up having to select manual setup and choose the camera option, then put my phone in front of the camera lens to scan a QR code. None of that was in the instructions. The setup worked thankfully, but only after 3-4 attempts with autoconfig and physical device resets. -No tracking. This camera is fixed position only. If you're looking for a camera with motion tracking and a controllable field of view (fairly common on other cameras), this one is not for you. At this price, it's a bit surprising the camera doesn't have this feature. All-in-all, not a bad camera if you're good with a fixed camera angle. It works well for me since I use it to just to monitor a gate to my back yard. The light is really excellent, probably the best selling point for this security camera.
