The seller contacted me (after I posted the following review) and sent me a replacement unit without making me return the original one. This one does a much better job of keeping the temperature consistent. I would have given more stars if the first one worked as well as the replacement. It was great to get such good support from an on line seller. This unit is nicely sized, seems to be of quality construction and emits no objectionable odors. It is quiet, although you can hear the thermostat click on and off (not a problem). However, it cannot seem to keep my 10/10 room with one window any where a consistent temperature. No matter where I set the thermostat the temperature in the room varies up to 10 degrees. I want it to keep my room between 65 and 70 degrees. I followed the directions for setting the level (turn it on and then the room reaches the desired temperature, set the thermostat at that level) and still when I set it when the room temp was 65, I left for awhile and when I came back it was at 72. I turned the thermostat down a little and then the temp went up to 75. I am considering returning it while I have the chance.

I purchased 8 units so I could cut down my heating costs. since I have a Gas Boiler. Essentially I placed the electric units in the same place/area as the Radiators. I set these units at about 400 watts output. Some areas I have more area taken up the floor and room space so I lowered the setting to around 300 watts and the room had a steady temperature and appeared to heat faster. Rooms that have larger open spaces, the heat was turned up to about 600 watts. I have averaged a $39 per month reduction in electricity, and my gas bill dropped significantly from what it was last year. with a savings averaging $140 over last year per month so far. I keep the temperature at 67 degrees in winter and 74 degrees in summer (my normal body temperature is 96.4 so I am feeling OK at 67 degrees).

I recieved this product and ( oil heater) and upon arrival box looked used was poorly taped closed, actually half open, on the box itself i could tell were the former address labels were cut off of box, box dirty and in bad shape. I opened box and removed product it was not wrapped in any plastic or any protective material although it did look ok upon removal. After removal searched in box and no paperwork, no instructions, no warranty info, just product and legs thats it. After installing legs decided to try unit to see if works, plugged in have lights started to warm up, we purchased this to help out our small bathroom note that its like 68 to 63 degrees outside not that cold but wont warm our 6' by 8' bath terrible unit hardly any warmth at all, our vent with heat combo warms the room 10 to 15 degrees but noisey and cant run allday this unit maybe, maybe 2 degrees. Trying to get tech support see if bad unit but of course weekend and not much help to be found. Dont recommend this product at all, beware.

Cute architecture. But, poor finger grab handle and clunky plastic base stand. It fits small bathrooms. Electrical cord is robust enough to keep it from melting when unit is used.

The large bathroom that's off my bedroom was always chilly, and some mornings I just didn't feel like taking a shower in the cold room. This heater is perfect for my use! I turn it on when I go to bed and the next morning when I get up, the bathroom is comfortable. The heater is totally silent so it does not bother me during the night.

We were visiting relatives in our RV in Texas when it got down to 12 degrees. I set her under our table and we all were pleasantly warm through that cold weather. I was surprised at the amount of heat it puts out as only being 700 watts.

I have several full-size oil-filled heaters like this, and I only ever run them at low or medium settings. So I thought the heat output from this would be comparable. It isn't. It doesn't put out enough heat to keep a 10'x10' room warm. I think this type of heater needs more surface area in order to be effective. You can stand right over it and barely feel the heat. It could maybe keep a very small and not very cold space warm, but for me this was a waste of money. It's cute but that's about all.
