I'm satisfied with my purchase and have come to get another. Why? My old halogen type torchieres finally bit the dust. Though poorly designed and a potential fire hazard (which is why they've been discontinued), they put out an enormous amount of light that literally filled my entire large living room. They were also very inexpensive. These cost a bit more but are VERY well designed, a breeze to assemble, are more stable even though they weigh a bit less, have a handy remote control and, most importantly, put out a good amount of light that can be adjusted to your liking from cool to warm and dimmed to bright. Not quite as bright as my old torchiere, but close enough. (Also, unlike my old halogen lamp, they are NOT a fire hazard, do not put out a lot of heat into the room, and will NOT consume gobs of electricity. They also, sadly, will not send the periodic horse fly intruders to horse fly heaven.) ... show more

I like it. Provides good lighting at low energy use. It has a lot of color and brightness options. Only thing that i dont like is that the touch controls on the actual fixture are very sensitive which often leads to unwanted setting changes. Wish there was a way to lock in the color temp setting so it wasn't getting accidentally changed. It's mostly east to work around by keeping the remote attached to the lamp (it's magnetic). ... show more

This worked great for just over a month. Then it went dead dead dead. Now I cannot return it even though they say they have a 24 month warranty. Good luck finding customer service. After this rating , I got customer service and they will replace my lamp. Based on how it does I would revise my rating upward. The replacement lamp came and is excellent. It also had a card in the box with an easy to get customer service. If the first lamp had such a card, I would not have given a poor rating. I therefore give it a 4 star rating. If the lamp goes through winter I will increase to 5 stars. ... show more

We needed a bright lamp which pointed at the ceiling to light up the whole room, this does the trick. It's not as cute as a floor lamp with a lampshade, but we prefer function over fashion in this case.

I needed a bright light for my gameroom and this looked like a nice one. I like the ability to change the warmth of the lamp so if I'm hanging out in there and reading, I can dim the light and make it more comfortable As soon as I put it together and turned it on, it was perfect. I knew I'd need two lights for the ends of the room and knew right away that I'd be getting another one. The second one came today and now the room is all set. I wondered if the same remote would operate both lamps but they do not. I put a sticker on each of the remotes number 1 and 2 so I know which one to grab when I need it. The lamp is super bright at the max setting and provides a very nice mood lighting vibe when turned down. The pieces of the pole that you twist together are super solid. ... show more
