Updated as of 3/26/03: 5 Stars The companys customer service department who builds/sell the chair here on AMZN reached out to me. The listened to me, they were extremely professional and prompt and resolved my issue with the chair satisfactorily. I was again impressed that they reached out and spoke to me about it...made it right. Because of that, I'm changing the rating from three stars to five stars. Being that they resolved my concerns FAST, I'd highley recommend this chair and I will be buying another in the next 90 days as First Review: 3 Stars It's an Ok Chair to buy for an office or general usage. I'm disappointed because two of the bolt holes in the chair weren't drilled corrected..wouldn't grab and tighten. Both were on the back of the chair. Yes it's a cheap chair but even in this day and age, these companies lack of quality is amazing. Foam padding is decent - expectation - nothing over the top - normal characteristics. It was easy to put together and hey supplied all the parts needed. Instructions were easy to read and understand. That's a huge plus. It says it'll take 400lbs but I doubt it - sitting on it was a little nerve racking at first and I made all the adjustments prior to sitting in it. Those two screws and the alignment are what keep me from giving this 5 stars even for a cheapy. I hope it last 6 months. I'll update in that time frame. Good luck all.

I recently purchased the Home Office Chair with a Comfortable Heavy Duty Design and Ergonomic High Back Cushion and overall I am very satisfied with my purchase. The chair is incredibly comfortable and I use it every day for long periods of time without experiencing any discomfort. It was also very easy to put together and took me less than 30 minutes to assemble. One minor concern I have with the chair is that the armrests feel a bit flimsy and I worry that they may give out over time. However, this has not been an issue yet and the chair still feels very sturdy and well-made. Overall, I would give the Home Office Chair a four-star rating. It's an incredibly comfortable chair that's easy to assemble and seems to be very durable. While the armrests may be a concern, I have not experienced any issues yet and would still highly recommend this chair.

Chairs are much like shoes. You have to try them first to find something comfortable. Purchasing online is like buying a cat in a sack. I really wanted to like this chair, but I'm a 6-foot tall male and find the top of the headrest stops at the back of my neck and is basically a shoulder pad. 6-foot is quite average for a US male these days. The photo online is very misleading because this chair can only be comfortable for a child or a woman of small stature, or a shorter person. I find that the headrest pushes my shoulders forward and my upper body into a slouch. There is absolutely no back support for a taller male because the chair back is concave. I find that I'm constantly struggling to force myself upright, and am unable to tilt the chair back to compensate. I purchased a seatback cushion which does help to support my back, but the cushion also serves to push my butt forward to where I find myself sitting at the edge of the seat. Because I'm forced to the edge of the seat and can't tilt, my butt easily gets sore in this chair much like I'm sitting on a bench. While parked there on the seat edge, I find that it is absolutely impossible to recline the chair slightly with the tilt-lock disengaged due to simple physics. All my weight rests on the edge of the seat, and so I can't overcome the principle of leverage. On a positive note, the assembly process is very easy. The build quality is average for a chair in this price range. I just wish that the seat back tilt were adjustable. I'm not talking about the tilt lock on the base spring, but the seat back position itself which I find to be too far upright to use this chair with or without a cushion. I definitely won't be spending a lot of time in this chair. It is simply much too uncomfortable for me.

My old office chair was literally falling apart so I needed a replacement. After reading reviews I decided on this one. My daughter is a large gal and I needed something that was a bit sturdier. This chair was advertised as being "heavy duty" and accommodating up to 400 lbs. I highly doubt someone 400 lbs. could use this chair and it far too narrow for a heavier person. I have had the chair for about a month and here are some of my thoughts: Pros: Stylish good looks: The leather is attractive and it looks like a much more expensive chair. Easy Assembly: It took me only a short time to assemble it and the instructions were easy to follow. Comfort: The seat and back are reasonably comfortable. Cons: The wheels are awful. They lock up and I end up just scooting the chair across the floor mat. It would be impossible to maneuver the chair on even the lowest pile carpeting. It does not recline to 110° in rocking mode as advertised. It is very tightly sprung and takes a lot of effort to tilt back. This may loosen up with time. In all fairness, I have not yet contacted the company regarding the wheels, but do plan to do so. It is too much of a pain to return the chair after having assembled it, so I plan to keep it, but if I had tried it in a store I would never have purchased it.

This is a great chair. I had trouble putting the back on and didn't see the ord front stamped underneath the chair and put that on backwards. But I can own up to my mistakes. It's definitely worth the extra money for the quality. I know some customers complain about about the wear and tear of the material. But it's not real leather. You're not paying for real leather. If I can get a solid year use out of this purchase. It's money well spent.
