I just got two of these chairs and while I'm pleased with the support and the sturdiness (at least for now), there's a pretty big mistake in the instructions that made putting these together a gigantic pain. Step 3 says to attach the arms of the chair to the base, followed by step 4, which is attaching the back of the chair to the arms. It is IMPOSSIBLE to assemble the chair this way in my frustrating experience. There are divots (that's the best thing to call them) in the arms that actually hook into the back on either side of where you bolt the back to the arms. Maybe someone really strong - and I mean REALLY strong - could bend the arms out enough on either side to pop the back in between those divots, but I certainly couldn't and frankly I wouldn't recommend trying because it would likely compromise the structural integrity of the bottom of the chair. They are heavily molded plastic and I think it would probably break the holes for the bolts in the bottom before you were actually able to bend them out far enough to insert the back. I didn't figure this out until after I'd already put the arms on the bottom of the first chair and had to undo it. This leads to a separate issue, which is that once you've got the arms attached to the back of the chair, it becomes VERY difficult to attach the arms to the bottom of the chair - probably why they say to do the arms to the bottom first. It's a struggle to get the holes in the bottom and the arms to line up with the back attached, and then it's even harder to screw them in with the allen wrench, but it's doable. Also, speaking of the allen wrench, you may want to have a set of your own handy. The allen wrench from the first chair was fine on the long end but flared on the short end, so I couldn't use the short end at all. Since turning with the long end gives a lot more torque and therefore tightening ability, it was very aggravating and wore out my hands very quickly. ... show more

The chair is comfortable and easy to assemble. It looks great. My only issue is that after a few months, the wheels are sticking and the chair does not move easily. It's sitting on a laminate floor, not carpeting. Trying to contact the seller to see if there is an easy fix. Can't see how to contact the seller so I'm hoping they will see this review. I bought 6 chairs. The gas cylinders are not consistent. Two operate loudly and not smoothly when sitting down or standing up. The other 4 operate smoothly.

I have three stars because the screws that attached the back of seat to base could have been longer. While attempting to lean back I thought I broke it. I took one of the longer spare screws and reattached it. No problems there anymore. It could also be a bit more comfy. I still like it for what it is and the price ... show more
