We bought these wheels because the stool we purchased had hard plastic wheels and they were breaking up our beautiful travertine floor. These wheels are firm yet smooth and soft enough for our floor, no breakage yet. Also, two extra bonuses … they are super quiet and the stems fit perfectly into the stool sockets, I wasn’t sure if they would, but reading the description saying they were “standard size” made me feel confident enough to purchase them.

I used to have plastic wheels that were loud and barely moved. I’m so happy I got these. They’re relatively silent on wood floor (unless your wood is old) and move effortlessly against the ground (can’t speak for carpet). For context I’m about 240 pounds and have had no issues for a year now!

Yes, I ordered another set for my new 500lb. Hercules Big & Tall office chair. These are so much better than the wheels that come on every office chair I have ever bought. I will now have to add these to ever chair that I will ever buy because I am not ruined! I barely have to move to get the chair roll in the direction that I want. I will post another review when the other set arrives and the ability to leave a review is unlocked to prove I bought my second set the day I received these! I did have to drive a hole in the top of the wheel arms and knock out the post from the other roller ball because it would not come out. I apparently wore the wheels out completely. I mentioned this so you do not toss your chair if you get to the point the wheels will not come off. Just drill a hole through the top, and use a 10 penny nail to drive the stud out of the old wheels.

I just got these installed and, they look and feel awesome. Everything I expected and more!. Best of all, and the biggest reason I wanted to get some was: no more need for those awkward hard plastic mats under my computer desk (the latest one I got doesn’t even stay put & I was constantly having to re-adjust it, and it was a pain in the... These wheels are basically rollerblade type wheels and they roll smoothly, silently, and softly (without leaving marks or damage) on almost any conceivable computer desk foor surface you need them to roll on. They work perfectly on carpet, hard floors (cement, wood, tile), even with loose rugs on top and/or minor to moderate floor surface imperfections like small gaps or bumps, and without pulling or catching on anything. The only place I think these wheels would even struggle would be in deep mud, sand, and on loose gravel lol. They make an nice compliment to a higher end office chair or even a slick gaming chair, but I'm sure they would work fine on any typical office chair. If I have any problems later on I'll update this review, short of that these are a great upgrade at a quite fair price.

Easy to install and looks great. Nothing wrong with the old rollers except it took some effort to roll around while sitting on it. With these new ones, the difference is night and day. I don't hear anything and it feels frictionless. My chair is now very enjoyable. I just ordered 24 more for all my other chairs and furniture. I am very happy i found this type of rollers.
