By far the best battery I have ever used in my entire life and I have used many. Well worth the extra money. Replace the 2 batteries in my superduty f250 6.0 last spring. It's winter now in South Dakota, temperatures have been in the minus 20's , my diesel started in a heart beat, absolutely no hesitation.     • Possibly the best vehicle battery around
Yes these are expensive but they are GREAT batteries. Very heavy, pure lead plates, high CC Amps. My last one I replaced after 8 years and it was still operating fine (I'm just a little anal about starting batteries when out 4-wheeling). I also had these in my Diesel Excursion and also currently two of them in parallel for my diesel motorhome starter bank. I love Odyssey batteries and I recommend them to everyone even though my best friend thinks I'm crazy for using a $400 battery in my Durango. I'll be using my battery cables to give him a "jump" some day! ... show more

Replaced my 5yo battery just because I needed another Explorer battery for a project car. ZERO issues in Texas heat, or -11* windchill.

    • Manufacturer does not honor warranty.
I purchased these for my 6.0 powerstroke in 2021. 2 years after installation and during the (very mild) winter, the truck started to crank slower and longer. I took it into the ford dealer to have them look at a couple of other issues, and this one. I came back to pick it up in ~7 days, and the dealer said the batteries were bad which was causing the hard start, and I got a battery tester printout reflecting same. I filed a warranty claim with the manufacturer a few days later, which was denied because the batteries were "over-discharged." This probably happened while the truck was sitting idle. I explained that one of the reasons I took the truck to be serviced in the first place was the slow start/battery issue, and got another read from another vendor and the manufacturer still won't warranty the battery. So, basically, this manufacturer has denied a claim because they're batteries were so bad they "discharged" at a ford dealer after the truck was brought there with a hard start problem caused by batteries in the first place. I have purchased new motorcraft and don't have the hard start issue any more, so it was the batteries. I would not ever transact business with this company. ... show more

    • Power when you need it
Love these batteries. Have them in my boat and my vehicles. 12 miles of dirt roads to my house with washboard much of the way, and they keep doing what I expect them to do. Great longevity for trolling, instant startup in both my diesel and gas trucks and no sign of wearing out any time soon. RELIABLE is the best word to describe them. Will buy again but hope I don't need to. Worth every penny if they last as long as expected. ... show more

    • Buy once cry once.
I used to be an Interstate guy for years but their reputation has gotten a little more than spotty. Cop friend told me their department has used these in their patrol cars for years and they are outstanding. Most cop cars run almost 24 hours a day and go through numerous ignition starts each shift. They also get driven like they were stolen on occasion. If these can make it through that I don’t see me putting a dent in mine with my much more sedate demands. ... show more
