Its construction consists of pure virgin lead plates for maximum surface area and optimized recycling, AGM (absorbed glass mat) design that eliminates acid spills, high conductivity, corrosion- resistant tin-plated brass terminals, high integrity terminal seal, a sealed design resulting in gases recycled internally, a self-regulating relief valve, tough flame retardant cell containers and robust internal cell connections to prevent vibration damage. ODYSSEY batteries beat spiral-wound. Compared to spiral-wound batteries of equal size, ODYSSEY batteries pack 15 percentage more plate surface area into the case. Avoiding the dead space between cylinders in six-pack designs means ODYSSEY batteries deliver more power and 40 percentage more reserve capacity.

Great Battery. I have abused this battery. I have a high power audio system in my truck. I have many times listened for hours. The batteries always came back to full charge. I bought them 10 YEARS ago. They are in a Ford F250 diesel. It requires a lot of amps to start cold. They are just now starting to have a problem if they sit for a long time. Dropped into my 2010 Ford Expedition without issue. Packaging was excellent and it arrived in perfect condition. Out of habit I hooked up my charger to the new battery to check and top off its charge. Charge was at 85% when it arrived and took a full charge very quickly. I'm sure the alternator would have topped it off after a little driving. Cranking power is phenomenal. I noticed that cranking was slow with the Optima Red Top this battery is replacing. With this battery I turn the key and the truck starts immediately. Time will tell how it holds up but initial impressions are very good. It's not a cheap battery but I feel that it was money well spent. 2/11/2019 Update: After having a solid experience in my truck I bought a second one of these batteries, this time for the wife's truck. Right out of the box it had a 95% charge. It's a perfect fit for the 2015 Ford Explorer Sport and the truck starts right up without hesitation. So far so good with both batteries. ... show more

    • Worst customer service experience I've ever had
bought this battery for my Sons Grand Cherokee the vehicle was getting repaired at the time and so the battery was not actually installed in till this month the shop said the battery holds no charge and needs replaced. Amazon said because I'm out of the return. There's nothing they can do and I had to contact Odyssey directly. Siix phone calls later I was able to finally catch the warranty representative in her office although I have left 5 voicemails and one message with the operator which the representative stated she saw the note on her desk she still never return my phone calls and I was just lucky she picked up the phone on the sixth call. So after 5 days have been lost trying to get ahold of the Odyssey Warranty Representative; she informs me that I must take the battery from the repair shop to an AutoZone and leave it for 24 to 48 hours so that they can test it in order to "start" a warranty claim. She said they will then decide what they're going to do and if the battery should be covered under warranty??? The operator told me that it would take 7 to 10 days for a battery replacement to be sent to me. Judging by the performance so far I'm figuring another week to find out if the defective battery is covered under warranty; then 7-10 days for a replacement to be shipped. So at the end of a projected three-week time frame since the shop told me (my sons truck has all new suspension) that the brand new Odyssey battery I gave them was no good. They tried to charge it, and they want to know how long it will be until I can bring them another battery so that I can pick up the truck. Odyssey batteries were supposed to be unbelievable that's why I paid an extra $150 over comparable battery; so I would never have to worry about my son's vehicle not starting. At this point I'm about ready to eat the $300 I paid for the battery and just go buy one from Walmart instead of jumping through all these hoops. If they don't cover it under warranty I sure as hell won't be buying another one from them or Amazon anyway. I am self-employed and very busy; which is the reason I purchased the battery through Amazon. Although I hate to waste the $300; Odyssey batteries has made this entire process much more of a pain than it's worth. I am now waiting on a call back from the Warranty Reps Manager; to see if he can actually complete the warranty task I started calling (days ago) for. I don't know if Mary the Odyssey Warranty Rep was having a bad day; but I've never been treated more like a scammer in my life. Worst customer service experience ever. These Batteries are indestructible and last 8 years plus in my DIESEL. After my truck sitting in repair for a month in cold weather it starts like a top. 2001 Ford Excursion 7.3 Power Stroke cracks off like a whip with these Extreme Odyssey 65-PC1750T Automotive and LTV Batteries (truck uses 2 batteries). Only with one battery it starts the same in a pinch when I loan out one to my other vehicle or utility. This is also a DEEP CYCLE battery claiming 400 cycles to ZERO. Excellent for camping. Lastly the shipping company that delivered my batteries is the BEST! A really nice as usually experience with AMAZON. ... show more

I installed this in a 1972 Massey Ferguson MF30 Backhoe with a 212 Perkins gas motor. The extra LED lights I installed on the machine drained the old battery to the point of stalling the motor. This battery came charged and ran the lights for two or so hours and never missed a beat. Starts the machine on cold mornings as well. Once I accidentally flooded it on a cold morning (20F) and turned it over a lot in fifteen minutes trying to clear it out and getting it running. The battery still turned it over just as well when it finally started as it did when I first hit the key. I'll buy another when I need one. ... show more
