This is not some cheap plastic product. It is a solid, well built lighting fixture (I have been in the lighting business for 30 years). First of all the instructions are crystal clear, very easy to understand. If you have a cordless drill it makes the job a breeze...but a phillips screwdriver would work...you have to drill 4 holes in the drywall ceiling...and screw in 6 screws. Including taking down the old fixture...and mounting this beauty it took 45 minutes. Very easy to do. Then when you switch it on...it is perfectly bright...from edge to edge and instant on with no flicker. Just excellent. I will buy another in a few months to replace the other fluorescent we have in the closet. ... show more

I searched and found this product for my utility room. It is a very good product and I am happy with this purchase. I will get another one to make a pair for my utility room. There are three things I like about this product. 1. Easy to install: it's made of aluminum l so that its mounting bracket itself can hold the weight. For other products, usually two fasteners are required on both ends to support the weight. its unique bracket and light weight make installment like a breeze. I installed it myself in less than 20 mins. 2. Integration of LED and len: the design requires no maintenance. No need to change the tubes. The dust and bugs won't get above the len. You don't need to take off the len at all. That's a big plus because the len is very fragile and I broke several ones. 3. It's stylish: The light is bright and is smoothly distributed downwards into the area. The website mentioned the LED module has 50000 hours lifespan. My pictures show my old fluorene light fixture and this light fixture. It makes the room more appealing. ... show more

Did some research and it’s much easier on the eyes than the one I had. I took that one and use in the garage now. It’s in our laundry room in the basement and does a good job. Our ceiling height is low (1940) so this helps.

Too easy, 4 screws and 3 wires. The hardest part was getting it to slide into the bracket. The light is very bright and dims really low. Much better price than anything at Home Depot. Huge improvement from the old fluorescent fixture that was in my kitchen.

Installation took about five minutes, despite an old beadboard ceiling that isn't really flat. Mounts to the existing standard junction box plus four screws to stabilize the oversized mounting plate, then the fixture just clips onto the plate. Very even, diffuse lighting, excellent as low-glare task lighting. 4,000K color temperature is a bit too cool for bedroom or living room use, but perfect for task lighting in kitchen or pantry. It really does project less than an inch from the ceiling, which means plenty of clearance for high cabinet doors. ... show more
