Turned out I didn't actually need this, but when I used it, it was bright enough to see in daylight. The battery clips are a bit weak, but considering the price, their fragility is not a big issue if you take care.

Worded as it should. One shortcoming is the spring loaded clips that clap onto the battery terminals. They are made of very weak thin metal and bent open without much pressure. I will be replacing those with others that I have. otherwise it allowed me time set the timing.

I guess I received a defective one. Will not work at all. Does not show a light when #1 cylinder fires. Bumper but I didn't have great expectations anyways. Just trying to set the timing on my freshly built Chevrolet 305.
