This is the best piece of kit I’ve had the pleasure of buying in a long time. Materials are top notch, the finish is excellent, the machining and tolerances are just right. There is no hinge pin that could break, no way to dislodge the beefy helmet cable once locked. The crimps on the cable terminations are rock solid. Unless someone wants your bike so desperately that he carries a drill and a cutoff tool around everywhere, this little device isn’t going anywhere. It even comes packed in a nice piece of sponge foam to protect it during shipment. Quality all the way. If it included a carry pouch, it would be perfect. I don’t rave about many things, but at the current price ~$38, this piece of kit is a steal unto itself. Well designed and well executed!

This product is very well made out of machined aluminum. Works well didn’t prevent theft. My bike was stolen but they had to cut the brake handle and part of the grip off to steal the bike. I don’t blame the part it did its job to the max.

I like the look how it's out in the open for everyone to see BUT for some reason I have the hardest time closing it. It fits around the grip, the two sides come together, still I have to fumble and fumble with it to get it to close.

So, this lock wraps around the throttle and front brake, while also providing a steel cable to hang your helmet from. It's an 8 pin lock, so a bit more pick deterrence than the infamous "pick with a Bic" 6 pin bicycle locks. On that same note, you really have to be pulling the front brake to get enough tension off of it to lock or unlock it with the key, picking it while holding that feels like a nightmare. It's got a very solid feel and appearance to it, some serious tools would be needed to cut through the main body, but a determined set of bolt cutters might be able to jack your helmet with a bit of time. Of course, locking the rear wheel with the front wheel locked askew would be ideal, but it's my opinion anyone wanting to lift and roll a bike is determined enough that they might just dolly the whole thing. I think this is an excellent visual deterrent that also holds my helmets and will prevent any but the most professional or hardcore thieves.

Pros: seems sturdy and like it would at very least make a thrift move on to an easier target. Cons: kind of difficult to get put on, the lock hole has to line up perfect, and you have to do it one handed since your other hand is holding up the weight of your helmet and trying to squeeze the break hard enough to get it closed. Also it scratches up your brake lever pretty bad, they provide little pads to put in to cushion it, but mine fell off after only 2 uses, also the pads made it real hard to activate the lock. Overall I’ll keep using this because my bike and helmet are quite a bit safer. But just know it’s not perfect
