This is one of my purchases in preparation for total knee replacement surgery. The device was easy to assembly. Okay, I had my son help me with the last screw. Otherwise very easy to assemble and slip onto the bed. I have it close to my headboard next to my pillow so that I can easily reach over, grab it and have stable support to roll over, sit up, or get in and out of bed. My bed is really tall, nearly waist high with the Cal King box springs, mattress, toppers. I have not had surgery yet but am enjoying using this bar. I wish I'd bought one years ago and am glad I have it now. I don't move around much when I sleep but I expect this bar could serve well to stop a person that does from falling out of bed just by putting it at a point along the mattress that aligns to their upper torso. Got this in mail today and it looks like will just what I needed except the L shaped wrench to tighten screws was missing. I have it mostly assembled except for getting the screws tight.

I can get out of bed so easily. I have spinal stenosis and wow it really helps me get out of bed. My PT told me to buy this and he saved me souch pain. It does not move. Very sturdy. Padding helps your hands not to slip. ,

I purchased this item after falling out of bed and hitting my face on a night stand. I am on some strong pain meds for back pain and was sound asleep when I did the faceplant. I am still on the meds and still under doctor's care. 3 procedures later and I still have pain so it's been a great investment. It also helps me stabilize myself when getting out of bed.
