If you have been looking at the higher priced, Pottery Barn version of this lamp, look no further. Click on this one and buy it. Beautiful finish, soft warm brass. Heavy base. Love the dimmer switch. This lamp looks and feels very expensive! Easy to assemble, very easy. Buy the one.

Very easy to assemble, operate and adjust. The black lamp head or lamp shade part is small. 5" wide across and 3 1/4 " deep. That's it. Seriously. It looks fine and provides ample light. But, it's a tiny black metal covering.

Overall this is a great lamp especially for the price. I’ve just opened & put together the lamp as I’m writing this, and there are a few details that would’ve swayed my decision to purchase elsewhere, although I will keep this lamp at the end of the day. First of all the cord is black, not clear, which I wasn’t expecting. It’s not a big deal so long as I have the chord hidden. Secondly, the lamp is much shorter than I expected, by about 6 inches. It’s already grown on me though, the shorter height actually fits my home’s aesthetic better than a tall, masculine lamp. My place is along the lines of hollywood regency and feminine. The material is great quality and I like the gold finish. It doesn’t look cheap. I wish the chord and plug were clear and small, but I’m deciding to keep it nonetheless. ... show more

    • Absolutely Fantastic Self-dimmable Stylish Floor Lamp

This floor lamp was purchased because it fit with my rustic bedroom look I have been trying to achieve. However, this floor lamp was returned because it would not work with my dimmers. See, I have a lot of automation and I like to dim lights based on percentage. Unfortunately, when this floor lamp is 100% brightness, I was unable to dim the LED using my dimmer because this lamp has some kind of circuitry that prevents that from occurring. Which is a good thing!! However, it's not what I needed. Things I would mention... the dimming of the light is quick. Meaning it will dim to it's lowest setting very quickly and stop. Then another press of the button will increase its brightness to 100% very quickly and then stop. It has a very easy assembly and I especially loved the fact that the cord did not come out of the base so the cord does not get badly twisted during assembly. I would highly recommend this floor lamp for anyone looking for a stylish, self-dimmable floor lamp!! If anyone is looking for a lamp that has the same look as this floor lamp but is non-dimmable and uses a standard E26/T45 bulb that can be dimmable, search Amazon for the following: "Mlambert Reading Floor Lamp, LED Pharmacy Lamp" ... show more

No real dislikes as if solved the problem of not very bright light to read at my wife’s easy chair. Very elegant and fits into the decor. The base is small enough to be maneuverable into small spaces. Very simple to assemble. Price was right also.
