Perfect task or reading light. I purchased two. One is over the chessboard in a TV room. You can play without interfering with TV viewing. The other fits nicely behind my new low modular sofa. I really like this lamp. The brushed nickel finish is pretty and looks high-quality. The first time I spotted this lamp, it was on sale, so I am waiting for it to go on sale again! I took off one star because it's not dimmable (one review here states that it is dimmable, and it's not). The cord does not stem from the base, which would give it a much cleaner line, but it is the same color as the metal, so it's not an eyesore. I took the second star off because some reviews state that the LED bulb blows out in less than a year. That really worries me because there's no returning it at that point. ... show more
