So I was looking for a lamp that sets the mood for the living room and this light holds up well against the competition out there. If you have a spacious living room and you are looking to light up the whole entire living room then this one is not for you. However if you're looking to modernize and elevate the look of your living room this light definitely helps. There are few other lamps out there with similar 3-headed configuration however I really love the "glowing ring" design to this light. Even though this lamp isn’t what I understood it to be (size) it’s absolutely groovy! The shades are much smaller and it’s a shorter pole but having said all that it’s way better this way. It dims and it’s bright enough to light the room and read by as well. Super easy to assemble and the cord is at the bottom. You know, sometimes you just can't tell from the pictures what size it's going to be. The lamp looks great in pictures and it looks good in real life but it's shorter than I expected. Even though the description plainly says it's 63" tall (that's 5' 3") it didn't sink in until I assembled it. Speaking of assembling - it was really easy to assemble. You just screw the sections together and plug it in. Simple. The on switch and dimmer work as described but I won't really use those as I have it hooked to a smart switch. I was very happy to find that you can control it from a smart switch - meaning that I have a switch on the outlet that turns the light on and off. Some lights with dimmer controls have the default setting for the light off. That wouldn't work for a smart switch. This light however has the default setting to on. So when I use the smart switch to turn it on, it turns on. Really nice! All in all it's a great little light and I'm pleased with it. ... show more

I love the lighted strips that shine through the shade part of the lamps and the light color emitted has a nice warmth, especially when you use the dimming feature. The base is heavy enough and the whole feel of it is well made. Well packed and very easy assembly. The ball joints make for easy rotation of lamp shades. The only negative thing, I feel, is the on/off/dimmer switch is on the very top of the pole (as stated in item description). So if you are sitting down, let's say in a chair next to the lamp, you'd have to get up to dim the light or turn on/off. However, this could be overcome if you plug into a smart outlet, and use an app on your phone to adjust. Otherwise, it's a really nice looking, compact, well made floor lamp. ... show more
