The ram works really well and gives a pretty big increase the performance on my gaming laptop. It is definitely a big boost from just 16 gb of ram. So far I am pretty happy with how this turned out and the ram design looks pretty simple. This brand has performed pretty well in my eyes. After several weeks of using this ram on my gaming laptop, I have not seen any issues with this device. The specification for this ram is as followed 16 GB x 2 DDR4 memory. It is pretty fast ram. Speaking of gaming, this will work really well for that purpose. After using this in my gaming laptop, I found it works great and gave me an increased performance. It is pretty similar to any other ram. It has no heat sink on it. If you are planning to use these as a duel stick in your laptop, this will work just fine. It is pretty easy to install. One thing to note is that you should unplug your computer before changing the ram. Also make sure that you discharge yourself (touch metal) before handling to avoid static damage. It does not require any additional installation or setting changes (at least on my end) to make this work. It works great on mini pc that use SO-DIMM ram. Again the most important thing is to make sure you unplug your computer from the power before you install this to avoid any problems. It is just simple ram that has a pretty fast performance. I am unsure if this will work with mac as most mac have ram soldered in now. I just use this to add ram to my gaming laptop and it helped with the overall lag of the computer. It provides me with a ton of extra ram to be future proof. As a single stick, it is more than enough ram to surf the web, watch videos. You could just use a single 16 gb for gaming and it will worked for the most part. Be aware that for most gaming laptop, 16 gb will be considered bare minimum nowadays. There are no real heating issues with no heat sink. It performs pretty well. Overall this is a very inexpensive duel stick ram to have. It performances is strong. I'm going to give 4 stars since I really don't know if this is a good item or bad however going by my computer friend it looks to be exactly as promised. I had my friend come over to put in my laptop to upgrade my memory. However I don't know much about laptops and how to upgrade them I saw it worked for most laptops and I have a google chromebook so thought it would work as well. Seems based on my fried this will work for windows, and mac computers but not to upgrade a google chromebook. I trust him when it comes to this so I'm sure he is right and I know chromebooks are like a standalone kind of computer. Anyways I'm sure it probably does as intended but I wasn.t able to try it to see. I will say though the way its sent its even got a warning saying computer parts and that its in a antistatic envelope so it don't short it out. I would say if you don't have any of the laptops mentioned on this listing then talk to a expect make sure its something you can use. ... show more
