I’m not a HVAC person just a homeowner that likes to do my own projects. It was I’d say medium difficulty for myself to install. You do need assistance installing the indoor unit and pulling the lines through the wall. Two hands aren’t enough. I followed the instructions and video provided but the indoor unit just will not lock properly. The latch just doesn’t meet up. I do think my wall is not perfectly flat but they should make some adjustments in the design to account for uneven surfaces. I put my own bracket on the unit after to make sure it does not come loose. Cosmetically I didn’t need to cut the side of the indoor unit as in the video where the lines go through the wall. It now has a hole and the lines are covered behind. I will now need to get a piece of white plastic to make my own cover. On the outside I had to purchase an outdoor 14 gauge 3 wire cord with plug. The unit only gives a few feet with bare wire. Also I had to make sure my breaker will handle the amps. My circuit luckily already had a 30 amp breaker. I also purchased a mini split base to set it on. This really helped secure the outdoor unit. I also had my own vacuum pump to pull a vacuum. The pump I had did not come with the special adapter you need to connect to the outdoor unit. I had to purchase this as well. I finally got the unit up and running. It is pretty quiet compared to the portable ac unit I had. I’m using the heater function right now. It has a feature that will swing the air flap which I like. The indoor display is not visible unit you turn unit on with the remote. Overall I gave this a 4* While you need several items not in the box to complete the job the value of the unit is still pretty good. Long term we shall see. ... show more
