I had something similar that would dry out the meat but ended up breaking so I found this and thought I'd give it a try. The unit itself was really easy to setup and while it did take some time to wash and clean everything before using, it was definitely worth it. The first thing I did was make a rotisserie chicken. I put a lot of seasonings on and under the skin and to my surprise, everything stayed on it. Not to mention, this oven cooked it perfectly all the way through. The chicken was roughly about 2lbs and this oven held it with no issues. When I was cutting into the meat, there was so much juice that was coming out that when I tasted it, the meat was definitely not dry, at all! I then tested kabobs, beef ones and again, the meat was cooked how I like it, vegetables had a slight crunch still and everything was amazing. No matter what we put in this thing, everything comes out so delicious. The clean up afterwards isn't too bad either. ... show more

I recently picked up the Nutrichef Vertical Countertop Oven with Rotisserie, and it’s been a really handy addition to our kitchen. I was looking for something that could handle a bit of everything without taking up too much counter space, and this oven has been great for that. The rotisserie function worked wonderfully for a small turkey I tried last weekend—it was nicely browned and tender without needing to use the main oven. The adjustable settings and two shelves give me flexibility to switch between baking, broiling, and using the kebab rack, which turned out to be a fun way to make a quick family dinner. It heats up fast, cooks evenly, and is straightforward to use. With the included grill, skewer racks, and bake pan, I didn’t have to buy anything extra. It’s definitely helped make meal prep easier, especially for bigger gatherings. It is big but I have an additional counter top space in my dining room and it fit nicely. The media could not be loaded. I purchased this products because of its different functions (baking and broiling) but what I was really interested in is the kebab function. I was pretty amazed of how powerful this rotisserie oven is and how fast my food was ready. It is easy to use and put together and also easy to clean and stain resistant. It comes with everything included ( the kebab skewer rack, grill and baking pans) so there is no need for additional purchase. I love its look in my kitchen, pretty modern with tempered glass door for easy access to the food and easy to fit anywhere on the countertop. The food always comes out very tasty and cooked to perfection and there is no mess to clean in the kitchen, just remove the racks, clean it and but it back for the next time. ... show more

    • Even cooking with less fat
This rotisserie is able to evenly cook a whole chicken, with less fat than a horizontal rotisserie. The end results were still juicy and delicious. One unique thing about this vertical oven is the movable heating elements. When cooking food vertically, one wants the heating elements to be vertical as well. This unit can just as easily bake things vertical as it can horizontal because the heating elements can be aligned with either the sides or top/bottom. It comes with pans to be used for horizontal cooking. I like to cook shawarma in this rotisserie and find this unit super satisfying to use for that. I can slice meat off, just like you see food vendors do which is especially impressive when I have company over for tailgates. Chicken thighs are best for this shawarma and I can also stack in things like onion too keep things extra juicy. I’m having a lot of fun using this. ... show more

    • it's always the chicken
I bought this to make Chicken shawarma (pollo al trompoly), Doner kebabs, and tacos al pastor. I've used it twice so far and it's been great. Flame/burn is intense in high, but also controllable. So far, I've made chicken shawarma and Doner kebabs and the cooking was stellar. A crowd favorite.
