I am a very skeptical person. My wife and I were pretty much at the point where we were going to have to get surgery for our small dog who has a luxating patella. As a suggestion before recommending surgery, the vet said to try this medicine and I was certain it was just a money grab as 1 package cost $70 at the vet's office. We bought it anyway and followed the recommendations of one treat per day. Our dog would walk on 3 legs like 80% of the time and would generally always avoid putting any of his weight on his bad leg. Within a few days he stopped favoring his bad leg completely and was back to normal. This was about 2 months ago and he is still doing great. We are so pleased with this product that we started giving it to our other dog who is eleven years old even though he is showing no signs of slowing down. The product on Amazon is $20 cheaper than what the vet charged, though still expensive (but it's been worth it for us). The only issue is that my dogs only eat them reluctantly as they don't seem to be as tasty as other treats. Not that big of a deal, though. Your experiences with this product may differ, but for us we are beyond thrilled with how effective it's been.

Before we started giving these treats to my golden doodle, he would whine any time he jumped, sat, laid down, etc. After only a month of him taking these, he was running around like a puppy again. We've been giving these to him for about 2 years and he is now 13 years old. There's no way he would have lived to be 12 if we had not given these to him. I highly recommend giving these to any dog for possibly their entire life!!

This stuff is amazing. My retriever went from needing a ramp to get up and down from the bed/couch to sprinting and leaping after airborne balls during fetch in less than 2 weeks. It’s basically a miracle supplement for old dogs. Look at the ratings, 4.7 stars at over 23k reviews. If you love your dog, this is a worthy investment in their quality of life if they’re having joint issues.

My 13 year old husky has noticeable improvement in walking after taking these. She thinks they are a treat (her favorite one too!!!) and looks for them every night. We have noticed she has less pain and moves much better. Ran out and did without for a week and really saw her slowing down again. Our vet recommended this and we think they are fantastic! Bella gives her howl of approval!

Update, May 9th, 2023: I still think this stuff works great and I love how it's helping our old girl, but how in the world can they justify the cost going up 20 bucks in less than a year?! It was expensive to begin with but $80 now?! So dogs with arthritis that don't have rich families just get to suffer in pain? I'm so disappointed with this price hike. Took a star off for this. I started my 14 year old yellow lab on Dasuquin right from the vets office back in August. Within a month I would see a difference in how she was moving. Before Dasuquin she was struggling to get up and down flights of stairs. She couldn't run. She can no longer jump up and stand on her hind legs. If you walk behind her, you can see how she holds her hips that she's definitely in pain. But since starting her on Dasuquin, WOW. What a difference. She still cannot stand on her hind legs but now she can go up and down stairs again, she *tries* to run, which will actually last about 2 seconds before she realizes she's physically unable to anymore. She will go on a walk or hike now and last about a mile. I know I cannot make her into a puppy again, and I was really resisting trying anything stronger on her in the way of meds. I knew she was struggling but didn't want to drug her up. Dasuquin seems to be the middle ground I was looking for and will continue to give her until the day comes that she absolutely needs something stronger. She's been around a long time and has had a great life with so much love. She was found as a stray with puppies and turned into the local shelter. We strongly suspect she escaped a puppy mill. There are a lot in the area where she was found. When we went up to the shelter to look at dogs, all the puppies had already been adopted out. She was alone in a kennel, looking pretty sad. As soon as my ex husband's eyes and hers met, I knew it was all over. It was love at first sight. I knew she would be coming to live with us. And she's been with us for the past 12 years, watching our children grow, protecting them and her yard, being such a great dog. Unfortunately my ex is in a place now where he's not allowed to have a dog so I've taken her until he can take her back. She's ok, she's still with her pack, she lived with me for years and most of the kids are still home. She lives with our other dog Paz and they have a very good life hanging out together. We will certainly miss her lots when it's time for her to leave us and I think we are all preparing ourselves mentally for that day but while she's still here I'm going to make sure I can do what I can to keep her as comfortable and pain free as possible. She's still a very happy dog so Dasuquin must be doing something right! I highly recommend. It's expensive but worth it. Update, about a year later: Silly me I thought we would try to go with a less expensive brand that seemed to have the same active ingredients. My dog paid the price. She was obviously in pain again. Gave up and got another bag of dasaquin and she's right back to feeling good again. I'm sorry, Molly, I won't switch your arthritis relief again. But it certainly confirms that dasaquin does the job!

I did a lot of research, and these chew came out on top to be the best for joint issues. I have seen improvement in my old boys joints, but I would not say significantly. He is happier, and seems a little more at ease, but some days I still need to use the doggy aspirin to give him a little bit more relief. They also take a long time to really work. I'd say I saw about a 65% improvement, which is better then no improvement. I keep him on them regardless in hopes to help relieve any pain or discomfort I can for him without having to pain medicate him everyday.
