Overall, very pleased with the rug. I needed it to cover the floor to prevent my elderly dogs from slipping on the hardwood + give my cat something to scratch, ie I bought it not expecting to own it for a long time. It does the job and it’s not super ugly. At first, we were frustrated with it bubbling up like in other reviews but with time, a little bit of stretching, and a rug pad, the rug fibers relaxed and it laid flat. Once the fibers relaxed, it measured true to size of 6’ round. We saved a little bit of money by buying a 5’ rug pad and it works fine. I deducted a star for two reasons: 1. Since it is a natural fiber I expected some imperfection but this rug has a lot. Dark bits, fraying, and frizzing. If I had bought this purely for home decor I would be disappointed 2. Very hard to clean. My dog pooped on it and it squeezed into every nook and cranny. I used enzymatic cleaner and a q-tip to get the bulk of it but ended up wet vac-ing, which help, but the brush of the wet vac caused the rug to fray and frizz even more. I finally used a bleach solution since a stain remained. I have a cream rug but I would rather have a slight bleach stain than a brown one.

I purchased this rug just over four years ago. Suffice to say, it was a great purchase. I was a little concerned when I ordered it about how it would wear. After four years, I am not disappointed in the durability of this rug. I have two of these rugs, both are in a high traffic area. Over the years, neither of them has shown any signs of wear or staining. The rugs are very comfortable to walk on without shoes, and the rugs are just the right thickness. I have a table on the one in the picture, but I also have a smaller one in the kitchen that stays put with no problem. I really love the woven neutral look of these rugs. An added bonus is that they are very forgiving if something gets spilled on them. I use a little water to clean up the spill, let it dry, and the rug is as good as new. If you like the natural look with natural material, these rugs will fit right in with your decore.

I've waited for weeks to get an email to review this rug and guess what I haven't got any, not one, want to know why? Oh let me tell you why, this is a terrible rug absolutely awful if I could give it a minus star I would, it doesn't even deserve a star at all. It came all wrapped up in it's plastic wrap, had to actually cut it, it was wrapped around it and crossed over and, well you couldn't just unwrap it period. Got it out and thought hmm, it smells funny. Ok now I have had this rug before, for several years, it was a great rug, that's why I ordered it again. Well this wasn't even close to the same rug, like I said it smelled funny, but thought ok it's a jute rug might have some smell, got it in the house, our pet comes out and won't even walk on the rug walks all around the rug and then leaves won't have anything to do with it. I thought well gosh, what's up with that. I got the vacuum out because I did remember my last rug needed vacuuming a lot which is understandable it's made from jute, there was nothing to vacuum up, I thought wow it's super clean or something wrong. Run the vacuum over it and loose thread caught in vacuum. Got to looking at the rug it had tuffs of fiber all over it, like it had been snagged many many times there were places all over the rug that wasn't even stitched anymore because stitching had come out. The tags were not even sewn into the back of the rug they were stuck on with glue or something quite like glue. I'd bet my money that this was not a new rug by any stretch of the imagination. If it was, it lacked everything new about it. They said you could return it, but try rolling up this 6 foot round rug and getting it sent off, yeah right. A pain to say the least. I went on the nuLoom site and these same rugs are upwards of $200 dollars or more once taxes and shipping are all said and done. So I do not believe I got a new rug or probably not even a nuLoom. If I did it was a sad piece of rug and I'll think twice before I try to get one again. So anybody looking at this rug, hope you have a better outcome then we did because this was crap!!

I ordered nuLoom Rico handwoven jut round 6’ rug. The first rug that I received was gross! It was mildewed and dirty. The sticking was very poor and there was a even a spot that was coming in undone. Luckily it was Prime so took the chance and replaced it. The second be I received was much better. Still not perfect, it has a red stain on the back side but this one is not mildewed or dirty. It had a natural Jute smell upon first unwrapping the plastic it w as shipped in but after a day or two the smell faded. The first run shipped wrapped just in plastic. The second had the plastic wrapping and was in a box. The second rug also had the little moisture packets (like are packed in boxes of shoes etc). The first rug did not have those. I don’t know what went wrong with the first rug it if I didn’t not have prime to be able to send it pack for free I would have been very disappointed. As I said the second rug has a red stain (maybe paint or ink?) on the back. But I decided to keep it anyway. I think the price of the rug speaks to the quality you should expect. But it looks nice beer my table. If you have prime go ahead and take a chance. You can return it. If you do t have the option for free returns I advise you to pass.
