The previous one I had lasted a year. The shelves sagged badly. It had snaps holding it onto the closet rod. They broke through the fabric and the entire system was on the floor. If you are looking for a hanging closet organizer, then you probably did what I did and went to your nearest Home Improvement store, bought one, two, or three that has the canvas and wire fittings for the top. Only to load it with your t-shirts, golf shirts, and football jerseys. Being a Browns fan, I have quite a few quarterback jerseys. (sigh) Anyway, a little later you start to notice the wire supports bending and eventually poking through the canvas. So now you're searching for a replacement. I found it. Easy to put up, and it holds the weight. You may be thinking "Velcro at the top?" Well, yeah. Isn't an inch of spider web stronger than a steel chain link? Read that somewhere. But it holds! Each compartment loaded again with everything I had before, and it retains the shape without a hint of buckling under pressure. The price is fair, able to choose your color for a dark closet is a plus =P I think I read in a review earlier that "blah blah blah it only has 2 small straps of bamboo.. blah blah blah 1 star". The top is solid and yes, the compartments have strips which is much more than what I had before. Would I buy another? Absolutely. Just hope the reason isn't for more QB jerseys. ... show more

In the product description and photos, it gave you the impression that the flat base of each shelf had a thin MDF panel inside the fabric, as opposed to cheap cardboard, like other competitors products. But actually, it’s just a thin strip of bamboo across the bottom of each Shelf section. Not a sturdy, firm base like I expected and have seen in other products. I’m putting these in a rental so they will do, but I wouldn’t buy them again. ... show more
