The media could not be loaded. After going through dozens of water fountains on multiple marketplaces we decided to give this one a go because it was affordable, had everything we needed and was also clear so it would be easy to see when it needed refilling and cleaning. I was unsure about plastic as I prefer to use ceramic dishware in case of allergies to metal or plastics but there is plastics in all the tubing and motor of even the ceramic ones so this one shot to the top. Plus if it didn’t work out we could return it and try a different one. I’m honestly glad we picked this one. She loves it, we love it, it isn’t loud and the water sound is actually quite relaxing. She drinks so much more water now than she used to and has far less bouts of constipation. It makes her happy and we are happy! Easy to clean, easy to use and fun. The thing to be aware of is it doesn’t come with the usb wall plug-in but we have so many left over from old phones and devices that we just grabbed one from our stash and it works great. It holds around three bottles of 500mL/16.9 FLOZ of water and will run on one bottle but better with two. We find the water starts getting hazy in about a week but that might be dependent on how your cat uses it (ours likes baths as well as drinking) or number of cats using it. So we take it apart and clean it with warm soapy water every Saturday then rinse it clear. It isn’t hard at all and it’s easy to remember since you can see the water in it. If your cat likes drinking and bathing with running water you can’t go wrong here as far as I can tell. We’ve had it a few months now and still love it. Good luck! ... show more

Like many other pet products, the market has been flooded with cheap fountains, many of them made in China. In general this means you're rolling the dice and will get either a great product at a low price or a complete piece of junk. In this case, I'm happy to say it's a great product. The assembly was a little clumsy, only because I couldn't quite get the fountain tube to line up with the blower, and also couldn't quite get the USB cord inside the plastic channel- but it wasn't a big deal. Total time for assembly was ~10 minutes, most people can probably do it faster Cleaning it was simple, easier than other similar fountains. About 5 minutes of work It comes with two filters, which is better than one- but they're so cheap to make (yet a pain to reorder) that I can say it would be a 5 star product if it came with 5 (or more!) filters instead of only 2. After a month, the white part of the filter was almost black, because of the environment where I am. I'm already at the point where I need to order new filters. I'm not sure if the filters are a part of the business model for the vendor- even if they are, I think 5 is a reasonable compromise for the customer My main critiques of the product (not quite complaints, more like suggestions) - Try to enhance the USB cable channel- it isn't quite secure enough for my liking. If it was a little deeper and did a slightly better job of keeping the cable in place and hidden, I would add a half a star. Currently it works fine once you get it in place, but when you move it around it often comes free and requires a minute or two of pressing into place again - Ability to customize the length of the USB cord, or replace the USB cord for whatever reason. It's a bit long for my case; zip-ties help to manage that, but it would be great to be able to use my own USB cord, since it's just a standard 2.5V USB cable. There would need to be some waterproof sealant on the blower to make this work, but I'm sure it's not impossible. It's probably possible to buy a separate USB bubbler on Amazon for $3-$10- all the more reason the vendor might want to just include one with that feature themselves Some complements worth pointing out- - A really nice feature that it has is the ability to remove the spout or resize it. It's modular plastic and is removable. I found my cat prefers it with the spout completely removed, making it look more like a bubbling pond than a true fountain. This way it still bubbles and circulates, but the flow doesn't distract the cat To the vendor- nice work on a product that has been cloned and improved 100+ times by other manufacturers on Amazon. Include more filters please! A recommendation for owners: you really should clean it weekly (or bi-weekly) as it will get slimy. It’s a good product but it can’t magically eliminate all grime if you treat it like a zero-maintenance product. It’s a tradeoff- if you want to avoid constantly replacing a bowl of dusty water and don’t mind cleaning it a few times a month, it’s a huge improvement. If you’re the type who can’t be bothered to clean it, stick with regular bowls ... show more

Pros: - Works great. I’ve had it for 11 months, I clean it weekly/bi-weekly, and it still looks good as new. - Good capacity. Holds enough water to fill once a week for 2 cats. - Very quiet. You can’t hear the pump, only the water trickle. - Good filtration. The filter it comes with is easy to clean, and cat hair doesn’t get in the reservoir or to the water pump. Cons: - Difficult to clean. There are a lot of intricate parts that build up sludge. I suggest getting the version that comes with the cleaning tool as q-tips can only get you so far. - Water stain build up. Water stains started developing after 6 months, and I use bottled water.
