i don't normally write reviews, but this futon/couch really is 10/10. first of all, i'm a plus size woman and i'll assure you it is very supportive! i've had this couch for a little over a month now, and have slept on it numerous times, and have had multiple other people along with myself sitting on the couch and it fully supported us! if you're concerned about sturdiness and support, look no further, this really is it!! the couch is absolutely beautiful and the velvet is soft, with decently deep seats. the cushions are THICK and you don't feel the coils or anything, they are very soft with a little bounce. again, very very supportive and comfortable. if you're looking for something affordable while remaining beautiful, this really is your couch. i cannot build anything, and i was able to build this couch all by myself with no additional tools required. the couch delivers in a single box, it is very heavy tho, i believe it read 120 pounds. BIG KEY PIECES OF ADVICE: someone else stated that you should put the arms, or the sides on last and i FULLY AGREE! i followed their advice, and when it came to putting them on i instantly understood why and how it would have been 100% more difficult to follow the instructions for that part. SECONDLY, there are 2 thin pieces that end up being the front bottom part, there are screws that it'll say to screw in all the way- i wouldn't, it ended up leaving a mark on the outside, small circles from the screws on the inside- just be mindful.     • Looks SOOO Expensive, but AFFORDABLE!!!

Was drawn to this futon/couch because of the look and price. A lot of the "velvet" couches I was in love with were $700+ and I just can't spend that amount on a piece of furniture. Decided to go with this because of the reviews here. I bought the beige color (I wanted the emerald green, but had to compromise w/ my boyfriend on color LOL) and it looks soooo good! Took my boyfriend and I a little over 2 hours to put together. I would def recommend having someone help because this is a pretty heavy futon. We had some issues with the some of the screw holes, it looked like some of the black soft material had melted inside but was easy to clean out with some pliers. One of the back panels had some minor black marks from shipping, but it wasn't a big deal since I will be putting throw blankets over it anyways. I personally like that the cushions are more stiff and not super squishy. Of course, over time they will slowly get more softer. I've this futon for about a week and I just can't get over how beautiful and well made it is! Since I'm home more often now, I spend hours on this futon and never felt uncomfortable. If you are unsure, JUST GET IT! UPDATE: I've had this for about a little over a month now and the cushions have gotten softer and more comfortable. Also have used this as a futon bed and fell asleep like a baby. I actually prefer sleeping on this than my spring coil mattress! Why did you pick this product vs others?: It’s a more established brand for a moderately priced piece of furniture Size: When laid out, it’s still pretty minuscule. The listing gives the measurements, so it’s not falsely advertised, but it is on the more compact size. It would be a fantastic choice for those that would like a mini couch in their smaller living room type space. CONS - Assembly - just sort of annoying to put together, ESPECIALLY if you only go by the manual and don’t find the tutorial video online. FIND THE TUTORIAL VIDEO, I ended up making assembly much more of a pain from being afraid of resting the couch on its back. The video made me have an “aha” moment. Another potential con is the material, and how firm the cushions are (I expect them to soften with time though, and it’s more of a meh thing instead of being uncomfortable). You’re not going to sleep like a baby in this thing, but you’re also not going to feel like you got hit with a truck when you wake up if you take a nap on it.
