Hi! I am 11 years old and I just got this kind candy machine for my birthday! it is so fun and easy to do! I had never made cotton candy from a machine like this before, and it was so easy to get the hang of it! I love making cotton candy with this! When I bought it, I thought it would be a little bit bigger but then when it got here, it was smaller, but it’s the perfect size because it’s not too big and it’s not too! I have been making cotton candy so much because of how fun it is I have been making it in the mornings, after lunch, after dinner! I have not tried to use hard candy. I have only used floss sugar, and it has been working great! The one thing that is not my favorite is that it takes a long time to heat up. You have to wait like 10 minutes once you start making the cotton candy the speed Is amazing it does not take long to make the cotton candy at all! It taste amazing! overall, this is amazing and I definitely recommend it. You should definitely buy it. It is so fun and you will have an amazing time with it.

This machine is very small and cute and fits easily on the countertop. The inner portion does get super hot so make sure to read instructions carefully about how to use, and make sure you've turned it OFF to put the candy in. Be ready with your candy stick because it's going to spin sugar super FAST. It takes a little practice to get the hang of picking the floss up on the stick so you get all of it, but it is a lovely taste and texture. We read that you can't use butterscotch and being obstinate little things, we used some anyway and found out the hard way that yep, it doesn't work! It just melts and no floss is created. Bummer! It's recommended to crush hard candies instead of putting them in whole because they'll melt better that way so we smashed some up in a baggie with a steak mallet. My only complaint is that since they recommend you only use about 2 candies at a time, not a lot of cotton candy is produced from only two crushed hard candies. I think you have to either use a little more or just reload a few times to get a nice huge plume of cotton candy like you would get at the county fair. Still, it is so nice and convenient to have cotton candy whenever you want it, and you can use sugar free hard candies as well as regular, or get the flossing sugar for the traditional cotton candy flavor. This machine is very novel and fun to use and adds a little whimsy and nostalgia to your get togethers. Great for older kids though keep little ones away since as it's making the floss the middle section does get very hot and spins extremely fast.

Machine works good, just need some patience and practice to get hang of it. Also, we tried few floss products and not all work the same. Some took way to long and other worked quickly. We were able to make about 20 with a 1 hour break in between to let cool down and clean out throughly. Cleaning is easy, just use hot water to remove hard residue then light soap wash cloth, rinse and dry. But good trick to get good spin is cleaning lightly before dropping in another scoop. We bought this for kids party but glad we made the candy night before party. That way we had bagged and ready to pass out. Taste is based on flavors you get. It's a bit noisy at first but then when spinning it quites down. Overall good product, ok to use, and price was good.

Perfect for cotton candy but you need a lot of candy sugar or sweets to make a good amount it's the perfect size much larger and much higher quality than I expected it's very sturdy too looks amazing however if anything touches the metal in the middle while twirling it will make a lot of smoke it works perfect outside though

This has been a great gadget for us. It's smaller in size but very cute and easy to use. Makes great cotton candy. We use the Kool aid brand cotton candy sugar. We ordered that on Amazon as well. Definitely worth the price.

It takes too long to heat up to form one roll of cotton candy. It’s disappointing that if you want to add more to the stick of cotton candy to make a bigger roll, you have to turn the switch off, pour the sugar inside of the extractor and wait about 2 minute or so for it to start throwing fibers. It seems to work better with hard candy.

When used properly, it produces cotton candy just like any that you can purchase at the fair! Flossing sugar will generally give better/more expected results than hard candy. For best results, be diligent about rinsing the extractor head with hot water to avoid buildup. The area near the heating element needs an occasional scrub to remove caramel discoloration. The instructions say to use one scoop of sugar, but one-and-a-half-to-two scoops works and will give a more dramatic/"expected" size of cotton candy cone. Remember to turn/move the cone more slowly when less sugar is spinning out and vice versa. Ensure that you build up strands on the actual cone instead of just the top of it so the cotton candy does not fall off. Jolly Ranchers /work/ for spinning, but they are not ideal. There is too much water in them compared to other hard candies. They melt and spin out much faster than other sugar sources, and produce a very dense/sticky cotton candy that clumps to itself even faster than the standard stuff. The flavor/tartness of it is intensely Jolly Rancher enough to provoke mixed reactions from taste testers, since it dissolves much faster on the tongue than the hard candies.
