Plan for proper temperature and humidity—around 70°F and 90% relative humidity—and choose the right season or indoor spot to maintain those conditions. Even as a beginner, I saw first flushes of over half a pound after trimming them to a market-ready appearance. Grew on time still have about three days left. Hoping to see a second and third maybe even a fourth flush. Make sure it’s an almost constant 70 degrees maybe 15 degrees higher or lower at the max. In a cold dark room. Can’t wait to try it.

On the Lion's mane growing kit, I followed the directions exactly, got a little white to start showing, but then it turned into black mold, and never recovered or grew more. I kept spritzing it 2 twice a day for about 6 months when I finally gave up. I reached out to North Spore because they have a grow guarantee printed on the box. They responded to my request for a replacement with they won't honor the grow guarantee because I the grow guarantee is only honored for 3 months from the date of purchase. However I didn't see this catch written on on the box anywhere. Can't recommend this brand since it didn't fruit and became moldy, and they didn't honor their guarantee when I gave it additional time to grow and do something, to no avail.

This kit was exactly as described and worked perfectly- very easy to grow Lion’s Mane mushrooms. You literally spray twice a day with tap water… Follow the directions and you’ll get mushrooms to eat within 10-12 days. You can even reuse and continue growing mushrooms using the same kit after your first harvest. Highly recommend this!! I included pictures of the box throughout the 2 weeks it took to grow them.

amazon.com Feb 28, 2026 I received the lion's mane grow kit on Feb. 19 in good condition. I cut the plastic open in the usual X shape and put a hunidifier by the kit in the kitchen. It's now Feb. 28 and I just collected the large lion's mane off the grow kit. Very easy a nice looking fluffy mushroom! The size is about 8 inches high by by 6 inches wide and 5 inches thick. Pictures show day 3 and day 10, when harvested.
