The only thing I've noticed that might be a negative is that in some places, it leaves a little bit of a residual spot on the concrete, almost like I've spilled something oily. Some dogs have paws that are more sensitive than others and also just the cold affects their paws. This product works well but store it in a tightly sealed container. Yes, it does harden and you have to chip away at it, but not hard to do and the product still works and is effective. Got to use this product today since we got 5” of snow in Reno. I decided to shovel as much as I could and then throw this product in my spreader and hit my driveway and walkway to make sure ice doesn’t form overnight. Long story short…even with the spreader dialed up to 5, as wide as it goes, I couldn’t use this stuff. The product has big flat pieces throughout that kept plugging up the orifice of my spreader. Yes, I wrote orifice and yes, I was laughing while I did it. Too funny. I finally had to cut up an old plastic gallon container and use it to spread the product out where I needed it. Unfortunately, I ended up using way more than necessary, but it worked so I gave it 3 stars. ... show more
