The solution does work which is why I gave it 3 stars, but the sprayer only streams, doesn't spray which uses up alot of the solution. You'd be better off buying the granules.

Treatment of north facing driveway. Because the concrete driveway was installed this year, a liquid de-icer was my only alternative to keeping the ice off the driveway. Ice still forms, but is easily removed for a slip free surface. Bought a battery operated sprayer to maintain a steady Spray and faster application. Snow also comes off easier..

De ice action is questionably ok at above freezing when used on ice. Perhaps best use is pre ice as a preventative measure. Better than a shovel by itself. Sprayer stopped working after less than 10 minutes of use (1/2gal expensed).

We just paved our private road this year (what else do you do with with COVID time?). So, for the first time we really have to worry about it icing up. I did a ton of research and found this product recommended pretty highly. My experience is that it works very well. I have a 45 gallon electric sprayer that mounts on the 3 point hitch of my tractor and has nozzles on an 8' bar. It lays down a nice & even coat. The de-icer lasts a good long time, unless it rains (this is still the Pacific Northwest, after all). I'm putting it primarily on asphalt, so staining is definitely not an issue. My dogs aren't attracted to it, so it's better than anything glycol based from that perspective. All-in-all, I would rate this as a buy again.

Well the Ice Melt came as a surprise. I was using this Pet-Friendly Snow Salt and just wanted to buy a bulk bag of it to refill my 4 empty jugs. What I failed to notice was this was a liquid. The container is over 50 lbs and I had to struggle to get it in the house. Fortunately, my son-in-law said he knows what to do with it. It was way too heavy to send back. I don't know if this liquid works. It's too heavy for me to deal with. I did read how to put it into smaller containers which I am not able to do. Hopefully we can use this but I prefer the dry kind I can just sprinkle over the walks and driveway. The next time I order, I will make sure it's not the liquid kind.
