I use this every year. I transfer it to 5 gallon buckets that have lids with gaskets. I use a metal scoop to fill an inexpensive shaker so that I can apply it to my driveway and walkway. I buy 25 lb bags instead of 50 lb bags because they are more manageable to deal with.

product is good but bottle was packed so bad. All of the melt was in the box. No way to contact seller. I wouldnt buy this again and dont recommend it.

The Snow Joe AZ-25-CC was a good find for pure calcium chloride ice melt in a conveniently sized package at a good price. I wanted calcium chloride (gentle on concrete). This was the best price, delivered, that I (Amazon Prime customer) could find. One problem is with the "resealable" package: if you cut along the dotted line printed on the bag, you will cut off the plastic zipper. You will have to figure out for yourself where to correctly cut the bag open if you want to use the plastic zipper. Also, I found the plastic zipper difficult to close reliably in below freezing temperatures. I transferred my ice melt to a 5-gallon plastic bucket with a tight-fitting lid. ... show more

    • FANTASTIC it Saved Time and Money
The media could not be loaded. I decided to try this product for the 2020 snow season bought a 50lb. Bag. I am disabled and canโ€™t shovel. My steps needed to be extremely safe, due to I have to be carried in and out in my home in a wheelchair. I have bought several different products in the past and I can say for certain that this product did the job far better and for far less money than any other product has. This was used daily on My steps, Front walkway and sidewalks. I normally have to hire the kids in my neighborhood to do the shoveling for me however, after buying this product I did Not have to have the kids do any shoveling whatsoever. This stuff worked wonderfully only needed to sprinkle a little bit down daily and it kept the snow and ice melted all winter long. What made this product even more of a hit after sprinkling a bit each day you can see and feel that there was still some on the ground when it was time to re sprinkle. It SAVED me time and money I did not need to buy any more that 50lb. Bag lasted me All last winter, I still have approximately 15lbs. of it. This snow melt works better than salt and it needs much less to work. I have been using this for years without any damage to my concrete steps or driveway. Trick is too get this on sale. Don't wait until the winter arrives. Buy when on sale or a drop off season.

Yes this is mostly rock salt with some CC mixed in. I live in Chicago and have been using this for 2 wintersโ€”never had an issue, it always melts a thin layer of snow or ice well. It does wreak havoc on the painted metal stairs on our porches. Overall for 50lbs delivered to my front door the price is fair. ... show more
