  • No fishy aftertaste
Size: 180 Count (Pack of 1)
I was prescribed this brand of ProOmega Fish oil by my Naturapath a few years back. The pills are larger, but easy to swallow. They have a lemon flavor with no fishy aftertaste.

  • No fish oil smell
Size: 180 Count (Pack of 1)
Love that it doesn't have the usual fish oil smell or taste. It also doesn't have the aftertaste like most fish oils have.

  • Did the packaging & formula change?
Size: 210 Count (Pack of 1)
Did the packaging & formula change? Been on a subscribe and save and noticed some slight changes to the ingredient list (additional fish types, different alpha tocopherol, etc). New version on the left.

  • Superb Product, But _Dangerous_ With Coexisting Conditions ... Even Though My Dry Eye Doc Put it on my Treatment Plan
Size: 180 Count (Pack of 1)
Fish oil is a blood thinner, in any ratio. That is why you are supposed to stop taking it prior to surgery. No problem for most people, but if you have coexisting conditions, please, please, please pester your doctor with questions. Know your meds and diagnoses and have the doctor review them. My dry eye specialist KNEW my meds, yet blithely said no interactions. But I had developed anticholinergic syndrome as a result of decades of certain meds, which made my dry eyes unbearable. These meds mess about with how platelets clump. So add a blood thinner and you're closer to having yet another side effect or disorder or an event for "presentation". Now, add in a coexisting condition that causes you to sneeze, cough, or vomit more than usual. Or take a new job where you lift heavy objects. Or start lifting weights. Bingo. Burst blood vessels. In my case I woke up to a burst blood vessel in my left eye. It was so hideous and complete that I cancelled appointments and wore sunglasses when I had to go out. People asked if I needed a tissue to mop up what looked like bleeding. Prior to this, my left eye was considered low risk for glaucoma. Now, incidentally or coincidentally, it is now HIGH risk. And I was taking only HALF the recommended dose. A diabetic could have had a far more serious event. So why rate this 5 stars? Because prior to developing gastroparesis long after dry eyes, I was able to use this brand with no problems. Fish oil. Seems so innocuous, doesn't it? Especially when it's prescribed by someone you (used to) trust blindly. Don't balk when your doctor chuckles when you say you read online that some SSRIs contraindicate fish oil, as do certain conditions like chronic vomiting due to gastroparesis. Tell your doctors and admitting staff you take fish oil, or keep your updated meds list in your wallet. Read up on this stuff. Asking questions of your doctor is different than questioning their judgement. Remind them of what's in your file, which you should be keeping in your own interest. ... show more
