Setting up these wifi plugs was pretty straight forward once I temporarily disabled my 5GHz band (my 5GHz and 2.4GHz have the same name, so make sure to do the same if you run into any issues). Once it was set up I re-enabled that band without any issues. The app is simple and clean without any weird gimmicks. After adding the skill through my Alexa app, Alexa discovered the plugs immediately and voice control was up and running. The plugs are as responsive as a TP-Link and a Samsung plug I have. What sets these plugs apart are their size. As you can see in the picture I attached, the grounding prong on the plug above it is not obscured at all which is super helpful if I ever need to plug any devices above it; notice the orange circle and how much extra room there is. Additionally, in the picture, you can see I have a bulking lamp plugged into it. The connection is nice and tight and it doesn't feel like it will be falling out anytime soon unlike some of those sketchy round wifi plugs you might see which tend to be worthless on a wall plug; notice the blue circled area and see how the plug into it is completely flush without any sagging. All in all, I am very content with this plug. Outside of being used for appliances, this plug does it all and easily beats competitors at this price point. ... show more

There are several places in my house where I just need to turn something on/off by an app or have it on a timer - I use smart plugs for these applications. I recently bought 4 Nooie smart plugs & they are working perfectly. They're smaller than most of the plugs I've seen - most importantly, 2 of these plugs fit nicely on one wall receptacle. Because they don't extend beyond the edge of a switch plate, they are hardly noticeable in use. The LED on the front to indicate it is "On" is visible, but not too bright. You're instructed to download the Nooie app & I did. The plugs were easily setup in their app, but the other smart plugs & bulbs in my house all work within the SmartLife app. I decided to see if these Nooie plugs were flexible enough to be recognized by the SmartLife app & to my delight they were immeidatly added to my network & their functionality was fully available. Nice. Although I no longer have small children in my house, the "Child-Lock" feature would be welcome if there were. This feature disables the power button on the side of plug. It can still be controlled by the app, but a small child can't turn on the device plugged in by accidentally pressing the "On" button. With smart devices the bar is set low at "Just Work." That is often a bar that many smart devices can't hurdle. The Nooie works great & it has a stable connection to my wifi network - that's another low bar that many smart devices can't get over. It also has several good features that make working with it simple & helpful. Stays connected. Just works. Has nice features. That's high praise in my opinion.     • Nooie App Sucks - Use a different one
Nooie App wants permissions that it does not need. Like making a phone call. I would not give it so it would not install. I was going to return these when I discovered that the Smart Life App worked fine with these plugs. Smart Life is what I use for other plugs and both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa works great with Smart Life. So my low evaluation all has to do with the App. Smart life App finds this device on a scan. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These Nooie smart plugs were easy to setup and have some neat features built in. They work with Alexa for voice control as well as through phone apps. Nooie has their own app, but I opped to use Smart Life instead as it works well for me and I already have devices setup using it. The design is great. They are made so that for a standard power outlet they don't prevent more then one from being plugged in like other models out there. I also love the hidden LED power indicator. When turned on you can see the LED shine through the plastic housing. It gives a much cleaner look overall. Some of its features are setting schedules, a countdown timer, as well as the ability to randomly turn off and on the plug as a burglary deterrent. It also has a child lock setting to prevent a toddler from turning it on or off using the power button on the left side. It does not come with a power tracking features like others out there. Not a deal breaker as this is not a very useful feature for what most people are using this plug for. Overall I am very happy with these. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Very easy to set up via the app and works well with voice control. I like these rather than bulbs to switch on lamps. I also liked them for the Christmas lights so I bought some more. Just program this in the app (as a power strip) no gateway needed. Then it can be controlled from your phone or via Alexa. Used and gifted so many of these smart plugs outlets that I noticed similar issue. One of the biggest issue i have with similar plugs outlet like these is how it is designed like the shape because it might be too big and block the other outlets nearby. And this means that you would have one less outlet to used unless if your outlets are a bit spread out then you are fine. In terms of the setup and performance of the product, it was easy to setup both the app and Alexa. Performance of the charge time is quite fast, meets my expectation. Really love the fact of how you can literally control the plugs anywhere as long as it is connected to wifi and as long as you have internet connection. You can also set a schedule or timer. Would i recommend? Yes if you dont have multiple outlet side by side or you would be losing a few outlet because of the size of the product. ... show more
