Story here.. I am post hysto, early menopause and find bamboo clothing best at keeping me from being hot... Weighted blankets sounded good, but realistically for me.. not an option I love having my throat and chest covered in cool, cold weather and even when sleeping. Ok, this weighted blanket is a godsend! I drape it up my throat /neck and just relax. Does not over heat me. (Use the cool side). I had the best nap the first time I used I! I work nightshift and I Love this wonderful item that helps with my sleep. It covers my chest/torso and I just love it! Love the fact it appears to be well made, machine washable. I AM SO WORTH THIS "BLANKET"

This weighted lap blanket is engenius! I love her portability and love that it is just big enough to feel the impact. when my kids need some sensory input, I have them lie down with it too. it’s on my lap during meetings or when I‘m sleeping… it’s wonderful.

The packaging is adorable. It came wrapped inside of a cylindrical box/sleeve. It would be perfect for gifts! First impression: I thought the glass beads would be larger for some reason but this is like a perfectly weighted beanie baby as a blanket. LOL I have tried a few weighted blankets but have always felt trapped. This is so comforting and comfortable. It doesn’t trap my legs or my arms and I cannot wait to sleep with it tonight. I will be buying more of these as gifts. Texture: I was concerned about the “velvet” side which velvet is a sensory ick for me. Honestly it feels like flannel and the other side feels like a tshirt. It’s perfect. Weight: I’m approx 190-200 and it’s enough weigh to be comfortable but not stuck or trapped. If they make heavier ones I may be interested but this is absolutely wonderful. I’m temperature sensitive and this doesn’t get me too hot either, which is also nice. Will be trying when my anxiety is high to see how it helps. It feels like a snuggle. Absolutely worth ever penny. I cannot imagine how I have lived without this before. Best self care purchase ever.

A few years back I got a full sized weighted blanket that was about 20lbs and I felt like it was ok but wasn’t heavy enough to provide what I was looking for. So I then ordered an oversized blanket that was 40lbs and came with a duvet cover and it was wayyy to unwieldy. Getting it into the duvet cover and maneuvering it around the bed or even swapping it out when the weather changes was just too much of a struggle to make it practical. I gave up on the weighted blanket thing for a couple years and saw this on prime day and figured why not and gave it a shot. I am so happy I did! While at 6.5lbs this is lighter than the first blanket I had that I said was too light, the ratio of this weight to size means it packs more of a punch per inch. I sleep on my side and wear it across my torso/hips and it feels like the perfect hug or snuggle. When I got it, I tried it out to see what it felt like and almost immediately passed out - lights and tv on and I haven’t done that in a while. I’ve been using it every night since and absolutely love it. The cherry on top is the blue color I got it in which happens to be my favorite and it looks just as great and vibrant in person. The packaging was also very cute but I will warn you if you plan on gifting there is some sexual innuendo in the packaging lol
