I am not a professional groomer just someone trying to save money by grooming my own dog. I have the table and the one that came with the table was a joke. I ordered this and boy was it a game changer. It works great and no problems. Would highly recommend this holder.

For my toy sized dog these are way too big. He has an 8.5” neck, so the rubber piece will not bend into a circle small enough to secure him. The rubber just sticks out on the sides of his neck and he can easily slip out. He is also able to sit with the haunch holder on. It is way too long with my small grooming table and can’t be adjusted to be shorter. I adjusted the arm on the grooming table from 18” to 23” but it is not enough. This should work well with tables with a taller arm, and larger dogs. ... show more

I had bought a grooming table that I'm pretty happy with, only issue is that it only came with a neck harness so there was nothing to prevent my impatient dogs from having a sit mid-haircut. purchased this along with the SUNCOO 36" Grooming Table. I set up the table and placed the Haunch Holder on it. I then put my 12 week old Maltese puppy on the table and let him play with the Haunch Holder for a few minutes. Oscar became very comfortable being on the table in just a few short minutes. He just plopped down and played with the Holder. After a few minutes, my wife and I put the holder on him and I gave him a very decent combing. First time I didn't need my wife to hold him still. Oscar didn't let out a peep, a whine, or a cry. The holder kept him standing and I could get to all the areas I struggled getting to with my wife holding him before. I only combed him for about 5 min this first time. I didn't want him to have a bad first experience, so we kept it brief and he did great. I would certainly recomend this product. Easy to use, does what it is advertised to do, seems to be comfortable for the pup. Only one drawback, it does not keep the little guy from turning around, that you have to accomplish by other means, either by holding him still with one hand, or you could possibly use an additional restraint, attaching one end to the neck portion of the holder, and the other end to the arm of the grooming table at a level equal to the pup's haunches. Oscar wasn't that figgity, he stood pretty still this first go at it, so using that option remains open at this time. He's going for his first grooming tomorrow, good bath, detailing those tear stains under his eyes, and a bit of a trim. We're going to keep him in a puppy cut and looking like a little boy, no bows in his hair lol. We'll use the table and holder for general maintenence between hair-cuts at the groomer. Maltese need daily brushing to keep the hair from knotting as well as daily tear-stain attention, and a good bath every 2 to 3 weeks. Hope this review was helpful. Peace to you. ... show more

Nice set up...easy to place dog into straps comfortable design...easy removal. She can turn around but i dont know how you can get around that because its designed to be able to face dog front or back on your table.
