  • Great Smart Camera That Delivers What It Says It Does Great Smart Camera That Delivers What It Says It Does
We've had our Furbo dog camera for about a year and use it frequently - anytime we are away from the house and our dog is home. We are very happy with it. Normal daytime resolution and angle of the lens is incredible, you can even zoom in on particular areas of the frame. Night vision is solid, can make out what I need to. The treat dispenser has been very reliable, never had a jam or anything like that. I have found the notifications of barking/whining, dog physical activity and of spotting people in the frame to be highly reliable. I love that I can check in and talk to him + throw him a few treats if I get notified he is barking/whining or simply pacing around (the app calls it getting active). He also "checks in" with us from time to time, as you can see by the pic I included of the doggie selfie the camera took for us. We get a notification when our dog sitter arrives to take our dog out for a walk and we can see when he is safely back at home, which is great peace of mind. The dog nanny "doggie diary," which is basically a video of when there is any activity or noise throughout the day, is a great recap and frequently a little comical. The only thing I wish were possible, is to tie a second Furbo camera to my account - so I could view our dog in multiple areas of the house. Hoping that will be a feature added soon! ... show more

  • great camera - bad treat toss - no customer service phone
New post: furbo reached out to me within 24 hours to replace my furbo when the little white plastic thingie fell out. All I needed to do was email the customer service email on their website. I got an email asking for my order #, which I copy/pasted from Amazon, plus pics of my furbo, and they sent a replacement out within a couple of days. That being said, the camera is fantastic. I wish it would turn, but, that's another story. When the light is on (blue), I can see my kids in their playpen just fine... maybe better than some, as compared to coworkers. I loved being able to hear my dogs, and I hoped that they could hear me... but, one day when my husband was home, he held up a sign that said "if you are talking, I can't hear you."... sigh. Set up to my samsung galaxy s7 was a little rough, as mentioned by other reviewers. I uninstalled and reinstalled the fubo app 7 (no kidding!) times, and set the furbo right next to our router before they connected. Now it's in the kitchen, and connects fine. I got 62 barking alerts the 1st day. Multiple users can install the app, but, if one person wants alerts - EVERYONE gets alerts. I uninstalled the app off my husband's phone. He has no time for so many alerts from our unruly crew. I fell out of love over the treats. The directions are a little generic on the treat shape/sizes. They send a sample to give you an idea what they suggest. Well, my dogs are maltese, and need little treats, so I put some of theirs in. It worked great for a few days, then, quit. when I emptied it out to see what was up, I noticed a little round white disc came out with the treats, and the sound of something rattling around it the furbo. ;( There is no number for tech support. I sent an email a couple of days ago.... squat. I found them on facebook and twitter.... nothing. I'm just glad I got it on sale before the price went up, and, wish I'd saved the box so I could return it. Please, save your box. Or, find me a number to tech support. ** edit ** I got a response via email. I took pictures as requested, and am waitig to find out if they will explain a repair, or replace it. ... show more

  • All Dog Owners Need This Product! All Dog Owners Need This Product!
We absolutely LOVE this product! I went back and forth on buying it for a few months before actually taking the plunge and making the purchase. I am so glad that I did! It gives us such a peace of mind knowing that we can check in on our 2 dogs at any time by easily clicking on the Furbo app on our phones. We are able to talk to them, give them treats, and make sure they are staying out of mischief. Furbo will even alert you when your dogs are barking (this can get annoying if your dogs are barkers as ours are lol)! The sleek and attractive design allows Furbo to blend right in with your home decor easily. Visitors to our home have even mentioned they had no idea it was a camera! As other reviewers have said, the treat reservoir is rather small but unless you are giving your dog treats constantly throughout the day, you only need to fill it once a week or so. We only give our dogs treats if they are up and moving around. When you hit the treat button, a squeaky toy sound will emit from Furbo to alert your dog that a treat is coming their way. As you can see in the one photo, our one dog will actually sit for the sound and wait for a treat to pop out! Furbo will shoot out several treats at once though so keep that in mind when hitting the treat button in the app. As you can see in my photos, the camera lens gives you a pretty wide view of the area you have Furbo set up in. Some reviewers have mentioned having difficulties with the WiFi connection but we have never experienced this and our router is on the other end of the house. We have had problems with the connection between the app and Furbo once but this was quickly resolved by updating the app on our phones. There is a slight delay at times between real time and what appears in the app but this is pretty easy to get used to. All in all, this is an amazing product! ... show more

  • Updated: I bought 2 of these 1.5 years apart, with sub. App could use work but the camera is great
UPDATE NOV 2020: I bought another one (when it was on sale for about 40% off, I would not pay full price if planning on using without premium features - Furbo's premium bundle may be a cheaper option if you are willing to shell out the full price) about a year and a half after my first purchase as I had to leave my first one behind in a different country when I returned home due to COVID conditions. The first time around I had the premium subscription feature, but this time I decided I only need the treat tossing and camera feature so I am currently using it on regular features. While I was on the sub, they would periodically send surveys asking things like which features would you like, how much would you be willing to pay for these features, etc. They have since taken away many of the free features and added them to the sub so obviously the rest of their clientelle is richer than I am. But they did keep the basics which is what I need so I am okay with that so far. Free feature comes with the camera (+ audio), treat tossing, voice recording to play when tossing a treat, and barking alerts. Premium features more or less make the Furbo into a security camera (person alert, alarm alert, etc.) which was useful for me on the first one because I lived on my own (it would let me know when apartment management came by to do maintenance while I wasn't home, etc.) but not so much anymore because we have a separate security camera system at my current place. The product has not changed much (the app has updated - keep reading for app review), the camera is still great, 1080p with great night vision. Functionality has not changed either, I am using Zuke's brand training treats and it tosses out 3-5 at a time (they are 2 calories each so this is a good amount). I do not have Alexa connected to the new one so I don't know how much improvement there has been for that. The issue I had with the app is connecting the new device. The green light indicating the device was on connection mode was on but the app would do nothing when I pressed next. I spoke to the live chat help within the app but it crashed when I attempted to upload a photo of the device serial number as they requested and couldn't get back into the chat room again. They then contacted me by e-mail to follow up (good customer service on that end, though I fixed the issue on my own by then). The issue was that the app asks you for permission to access location when setting up first, but if you click on "only this time" instead of "all the time" the app will not respond for whatever reason. It connected properly once I gave it location access for "all the time" (I took away the permission after set up and it works fine without it). One star off for that this time because app needs some troubleshooting. I did not have many issues with the app prior to the update. Also I recorded the same thing I had on the first camera to play when tossing a treat and my dog still recognizes it (: ------ FIRST REVIEW AUG 2019: I bought this camera after doing a lot of research on other pet cameras. I specifically wanted one that could do wifi streaming, treat tossing, and Alexa capability. It does all those things plus night vision quality is great, but like some other reviewers mentioned Alexa does not work correctly so one star off for that (but that could also be an Alexa specific thing, as she has trouble with some of my other appliances). I mainly use it to keep an eye on my 9 month old pup who likes to eat my chairs while I'm gone to class and on my 1 month old Roomba that likes to chase her around. Works great for that purpose and night vision quality is great, much better than I originally anticipated. Treat tossing is good too, at first I used kibbles but it shoots out a lot at once so I switched to larger treats broken into pieces. My pup learned very quickly that my voice coming from it means cookies. It also doubles as a security camera with person detection. Also the daily diary videos are a hoot! I look forward to watching them every day (: ... show more

  • AMAZING PRODUCT!!! AMAZING PRODUCT!!!
First let me tell you I am a LONG time amazon primer but this is my first review. I was skeptical of buying it because some of the reviews are really negative. I am writing this review so people who are avid review readers wont be put off by the negative reviews left. Most of those seem to be isolated incidents or user error. PROS 1. Product arrived the very next day! 2. The packaging was in mint condition and very easy to open. Sometimes i feel like i have to hulk out to open some packaging. 3. The step by step instructions were very clear and easy to understand, I followed mine exactly and had no issues with setup/connectivity/app setup. 4. I placed mine in the corner of the living room and you can literally see everything in the room/kitchen. It has a wide angle view so even when i am sitting directly to the side of it it still pics up me as well. 5. The image is crystal clear, even the night vision. 6. It will record selfies if you dog looks directly at the camera. It will record any activity it picks up and do a 10-15 second play back so you can see what was going on during that time. It picks up when my dogs bark so i can look in on them and make sure they are okay. 7. It makes a sound the dog will soon identify as a treat about to launch out. You can also record your own voice for when you use the treat option. 8. There are instructions on what the different color indicator lights mean which i found so useful. 9. You can set it to alert you for certain things. 10. The app is so simple to use that i cant even begin to understand why people gave this a negative review beause of the app. CONS 1. Treats that fit the furbo do not come with it so its been trial and error on what the furbo will successfully shoot out. That's the only CON i have. I would definitely buy this again. I also wish you could buy cameras for other rooms in the house that connect to the main. ... show more

  • Furbo is the greatest pet product we've seen in years
This is the most clever device we've seen in years - plus our 2 cats are in seventh heaven. The original Furbo we received was defective and would not connect to our phones. We knew there was a 1 year warranty on the product. We also had a very old WIFI system in our home which needed to be replaced - which we did. We also contacted the Furbo customer support folks - who were totally supportive - had us do some testing on the Furbo we had received and determined it was, indeed, defective. They then quickly shipped us a new Furbo along with a UPS shipping label to mail back the defective Furbo at no cost to us. They also included, gratis, a whole bunch of the treats for the device!!! Furbo is the greatest pet product we've seen in years! Our cats are in 7th heaven over having treats - plus we like to be able to see & talk to them. I ordered a Furbo when out of the country - had it shipped to our home so my husband could install it before he joined me - thinking it would be great fun to check on our cats. Unfortunately it did not work with our old WIFI system. So we replaced WIFI and then worked with the Furbo customer support folks to determine that Furbo was indeed defective but they would send us a new one. We can't say enough good things about the Furbo customer support folks - emails responded to quickly, good questions & suggestions and they also are pet lovers! It really only took 2 days of emails back and forth with the Furbo customer service folks to solve our problems - and I believe we were in different parts of the world too. Then within 2 days the replacement Furbo arrived along with a large box of TREATS for the machine. Recommend that if you have a problem with your Furbo contact the Furbo customer service folks via email!!! CONTACT their customer support folks by email - they WANT their product to be successful and work hard to make that happen. I'd 1st seen Furbo when visiting New Zealand and my Canadian cousins who were also visiting had set on up for their cats at home - realized what a GREAT product it is. ... show more

  • UPDATE - Don't waste your money
UPDATE 2022: Well, I have had two crap out on me now. The first one lasted 3 years. Not too bad I guess, so I wasn't terribly upset. With that one, the physical treat-launching mechanism gave out. I used it a lot, so again, I wasn't too mad about it. So I purchased another one. This one made it a year-and-a-half, so I'm a bit more upset about this one. The other day, I got an alert on my app that my Furbo was no longer connected. I went and unplugged it to try to reset it. Nothing. Tried replacing the cord. Nothing. No lights come on and I can't turn it on in my app. Had my techy son (works at Best Buy Geek Squad) look at it, and he couldn't figure anything out. An awful expensive little toy to keep crapping out like this. This is great! Super easy to set up and connect to my phone. Gives me great peace of mind to be able to check in on my pup and surprise her with a treat. Notifications work great. I was able to purchase my own treats (I am picky about the treats she gets). The app is a little glitchy, but only slightly annoying. Have to restart it sometimes to get it to connect, not a deal-breaker. Only time I get an unstable connection notification is when my cell signal is not the greatest or I'm in a moving vehicle. My dog learned quickly to come as soon as she hears the tone it makes right before the treats are dispensed. On the first day, she did get a little naughty when we left and tried to get her own treats out of it. She knocked it off the end table, and I could see it happening real time on the camera, so we turned around and came home, as I was worried she would eat ALL the treats, but the lid fits on so snugly with a gasket that the cover did not come off. Very nice. She hasn't bothered it since. ... show more

  • Must have if you miss your pets or wonder if they are okay. ❤ it
If you miss and worry bout pets when your not home you need this. I was skeptic because of all the bad reviews on the app and the machine. Personally is amazing on how clear of a pictures my dogs love it. They all 6 of them come running when they here that sound. Love I can talk to them even thru speaker they recognize my voice. I show people all the time they are amazed and think that is amazing. My hubby loves it also. With the nanny cam that is different you can add it. For 6.99 a month. You dont have to add this feature if you dont want to everything still works the same without the nanny cam. But my hubby likes the added feature even if it 6.99 a month. It will alert you if there is a person in that area like if someone broke in. It also notifies you if it senses a fire or carbon monoxide alarm is going off. For that added feature is cheap for like security system. But you do not have to sign up for that feature if you dont want monthly subscription. Without the subscription the furbo still does everything I wrote before the nanny cam. So you dont gave to have the subscription. Wish i would of ignored the negative feedbacks could of had this much sooner. I have no problem with connection or viewing it even if I'm out of my state. Occasionally the treat dispenser gets clogged n that's just simply from crumbs I just do what they say n it straightens it up right away. So simply to use. Also can have multiple users. My hubby n my son have the app on their cells and connected to the furbo. So they can see them and throwing them a treat also. The speaker function I really like cuz turn muc on n talk to my dogs turn muc off and you can hear in the room. Hubby n I have used it that way ourselves. I've had it lil over 2 weeks not a problem other than treat crumbs. Dogs lives it so much I now put their small dog food mixed in with treats. It also shoots out 2-5 pieces which is great when ya have 6 dogs. Will continue to use if anything changes i will update this review. So far my family and furbabies 🥰🥰🥰 it. UPDATE 5yrs later and It still works perfectly use it all the time. ... show more
