My cat seems to find it quite comfortable. She used to leap over the old mat when exiting the litter box and I think she didn't like how the surface felt on her paws. She steps on the new one without hesitation and I even caught her curled up and taking a nap on it. The mat is doing a good job of catching the bits of litter that escape the box but I'd be cautious putting this on any surface subject to absorbing heat (like cement or stone flooring) without putting some sort of liner under it as it would likely sustain damage and could melt. We use this on tile for 2 litter boxes. Love that it can accommodate both boxes with space in front for the cats to jump out on. It collects a lot of litter, but it’s not going to collect it all. Overall, it does a decent enough job.

I must say right off the bat, yes it traps SOME, yes that’s right SOME litter BUT it also makes a wonderful mess of all the “dirt” when the litter breaks down in it. Also NOT very durable as within about a month it had a small tear then two month later a much bigger one. It can slide around a bit and idk. It could be better for what you pay HOWEVER it could be a lot worse as well. Maybe shop around, Maybe try this one, perhaps you’ll have more luck where I did not? ... show more

Bought this for my new kitten’s litter box. I can’t stand to step on litter,so I knew I had to get something for that ASAP. This works so far. As you can see,no litter tracking outside of the rug. One of my biggest pet peeves about litter boxes,fixed. I def recommend. Only downside is it’s not very big as you can see in the photo.
