When I bought this L-shape mount I am not sure it will work on my Canon R5 II since it's size is different from either R5 and R6. It works. It works perfectly. This L-shape mount has two points that I like. First it allows my LCD flip to the other side to make it easy when the camera positioned high or low. Second it has its own magnetic key to make open the mount much easier.

When attempting to shoot in portrait, the L frame is split resulting in the camera body always moving. It is impossible to secure due to the split in the metal. Poor design!

I normally only buy RRS brackets but don’t want to drop that much cash until I eventually buy the battery grip. I decided to take a chance on this one and it works well. Could be a little snugger and fit just a little better but for the price, I’m happy with it.

I bought this to replace a cheap universal L bracket after I found I liked having an L bracket, but didn't like the limitations on the rotation of my back screen or the fact that the first one got in the way of cahging batteries. I like this one a lot - I can aim my LCD screen pretty much anywhere I'd be likely to want it, and I can change batteries easily with the bracket in place. I also like the magnetic screwdriver that came with it. It doesn't get in the way like the D ring on the mounting screw of the first one did, and I can tighten the bracket enough so it doesn't move at all with it, The one complaint I have is that the opening in the end (where you attach the camera to your tripod in portrait orientation) makes the camera much more prone to movement. It's much better if you clamp the camera to the tripod near the corner. Since that opening is what allows the LCD screen to be more fully adjustable, that's a compromise I can live with.

I purchased specially to use with a panoramic set up and my R6. This L Bracket exceeds my expectations in all ways! It fits the R6 well, allows the screen to be used in multiple positions, and has two ways it can be mounted to the body. Off setting the bracket (see photos) allows me mount on my tripod in portrait orientation while still using a cable release, or it can be quickly positioned close to the body when not shooting with the cable. Great value for the money!
