  • Just need make sure you calibrate it and it works great
Style: DJI RS 3 Mini
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I am really impressed with the RS3 Mini! It’s lightweight, compact, and super easy to set up. Balancing my camera was quick, and the build quality feels solid even though it’s smaller than the full-size RS3. The stabilization is excellent — footage comes out smooth and professional, even when walking or moving around a lot. I also love that it’s portable enough to carry around all day without weighing me down, which makes it perfect for travel and everyday shooting. The battery lasts plenty long for my needs, and the controls are very intuitive. Overall, this gimbal is an amazing value for anyone who wants pro-level stabilization in a smaller package. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Impressive Performance – Strong and Reliable Gimbal
Style: DJI RS 3 Mini
I am very impressed with the DJI RS 3 Mini. It handles my Sony camera with ease—even with larger lenses. The motor is strong and smooth, delivering excellent stabilization across various setups. I would stick to prime lenses with this setup it will hold a zoom depending on size and how front-heavy it is. If you think you need more weight, upgrade to the Pro. It’s compact but doesn’t compromise on performance, and the native vertical shooting option is a nice bonus for content creation. This is a solid choice if you’re looking for a reliable, lightweight gimbal that still packs serious strength. ... show more

  • Excellent gimbal with the Raven Eyes and focus motor.
Style: DJI RS 3 Pro Combo
I recommend getting a power base from tilta or small rig and you will be impressed with the versatility of this gimbal. The pro version is a must just for the Raven Eyes. While I will upgrade to the RS4 in the near future, I wanted to review this after months of use. All batteries still last as long and this has helped me bring more rigging options to the field in a small package. It is built like a tank, worth every penny, super functional, and light wheight compared to my cinema rig. ... show more

  • Impressed with the Compact DJI RS 3 Mini
Style: DJI RS 3 Mini
The media could not be loaded. I used a much larger gimbal years ago, so when I needed one again, I opted for the DJI RS 3 Mini—and I was blown away by its compact size. It's almost the size of an A4 sheet, yet it effortlessly supports my Sony A7III with a 24-70mm lens. Balancing and operating it is incredibly practical, and controlling it is a breeze through both its screen and the app. The only minor issue is that sometimes I accidentally touch the joystick and screen while using it. Overall, it's an impressive piece of equipment that packs great functionality into a small design. ... show more

  • Complete junk. Roll motor issues 7 months later.
Style: DJI RS 3 Mini
I wanted to love this gimbal, I really did. At first it worked out beautifully and with no issues. But 7 months have gone by and now the roll motor is randomly skipping and stuttering for no apparent reason. I've gone through every method of troubleshooting DJI has released for the device, and have literally exhausted all options. There's either a problem with the servo, or the controller board itself. Just fyi, I have absolutely treated this gimbal like a baby. It's never been outside my house, and when not in use, lives comfortably standing on a solid shelf. No drops, no bonks, no dust, no damage. Not so much as a scratch. Seriously, it looks like it just came out of the box, and has been used maybe 6 or 7 times thus far. I'm not going to even bother to get it repaired, as this has completely turned me off to DJI gimbals from here on out. There's no way I'd trust one for a project after this. I bought a gimbal another from a competitor. SO ticked off at this... ... show more

  • Good travel option
Style: DJI RS 3 Mini
I just received this, so my review is mostly first impressions. I'm also a more casual user than a professional videographer. I will be traveling a bit, and I wanted to get stabilized footage of areas I'll be going to, so when DJI released this, it was super intriguing. I have the original Ronin, which I like, but was considerably more bulky. It was nice when I got it for use with a DSLR, but I have since upgraded to a R5. This was advertised to work with a R5 and 24-70mm f/2.8. Despite that, all of the initial reviews seem to be with Sony cameras, which doesn't tell me much about its compatibility with my R5. One of the things I really like about this is the capability to lock the pan/tilt/roll axes, which means you can balance each individually. I didn't have this in the original Ronin, so this makes life so much easier. That being said, the R5 is bulkier than the Sony cameras, and I have to push the roll axis, in particular, to its limit in order to balance it. But according to the app, it's balanced. It generally works with the screen flipped out, but I don't think it's as happy about that. I will probably have to remove the viewfinder eye cup because it can catch on the RS3 Mini when I invert the gimbal. I will be getting a RODE VideoMic NTG which I would like to mount on the camera. I think it should work fine, but it'll probably limit some of the movement I can do. I tried connecting via bluetooth to this, and while after a little bit a wait, it connected to the camera. I like this particular feature because it gets rid of wires. However, I was not able to get it to record or adjust focus by pressing the record button or dial on the RS3 Mini. Maybe that's an R5 issue? Fixed with a firmware update? The included USB-C to USB-C cable allows for control of the camera. It's not super obtrusive, so if that's the option I have to live with, I'm okay with that. I really like how light this is. It will be great for travel. It would be nice to have the battery grip removable so that you can really compact this down, but I imagine that would add weight. I haven't tried it in its native vertical shooting. Not sure how much I will do with that, to be honest, but I suppose it's a nice option to have should I want to use it. Those are my first impressions. It's a nice little gimbal for a reasonable price. I think it'll serve well in a travel situation to get stabilized video. Maybe there will be some changes for the RS4 Mini, but for now, I'm happy with this. ... show more

Style: DJI RS 3 Mini
if you are a videographer or a photographer, this is so worth it, especially if you get the briefcase attachment, it has changed my videos completely. It’s almost like getting a new lens or a new camera. Really does the job. Everything is so smooth in the picture, it is stable, works with everything super compatible and has no issues.
