As someone who mostly uses a MIG welder for fabrication, I needed a dedicated stick machine for heavier, dirtier repairs outdoors. This little unit has been a perfect fit. The inverter design makes it incredibly light compared to my old transformer-based welder. I can carry it out to the field with one hand. It runs great on a standard 110V household outlet, which is a huge plus for versatility. The arc is surprisingly smooth for its size. It handles 6010 rods decently for penetration on rusty material and runs 7018s beautifully for strong, clean welds. The power adjustment is fine enough to dial in the exact heat you need. For the price, it's an unbelievable value and does exactly what a stick welder should do. A solid, no-frills workhorse.
