Decided to step up from my Ronin-M and worth the change. So much easier to use. I am able to use it with my Canon R5C with a 16-34 EF lens and EF to RF adaptor. It's a tight fit and would probably go with the pro if it wasn't so much more expensive but it gets the job done. Works perfectly with my R6 and 5D iv. I paired it with the adjustable Small Rig Arm and V mount battery with a Peak Design strap across my torso to help manage the weight. Fantastic piece of hardware. However, this will not automatically smooth out your shots. It is borderline an athletic endeavor to shoot with this device and achieve steady video. Additionally, the camera balancing process can be a bit tedious.

The DJI RS4 GIMBAL is of the BEST QUALITY IN MATERIALS & WORKMANSHIP IMAGINABLE...comparable to Japanese, German or Swiss quality. I had huge problems with the DJI ACTIVATION process and couldn't get hold of any DJI CUSTOMER SERVICE or even an ONLINE CHAT...which is non-existent. Really good gimbal. Easy to balance, calibrate and use. It's a little annoying that you must tie it to a phone app, that's pretty intrusive. It stays nice and smooth when walking. Love that it can zoom and record on my FX30 wirelessly. Solid build quality and well thought out.

I got this for capturing footage with my Nikon ZR Cinema camera. It works exceptionally well, and does everything you would expect it to do. So why 4 stars? Two reasons: 1) It takes far too much tinkering to assemble it from its case, balance it, connect the zoom band and motor, and calibrate both the gimbal and zoom motor. If you’re on a trip and want to do a quick capture, expect 10-15 minutes of setup and another 5 or so to tear it back down. 2) It’s heavy. Even with the tiny Nikon ZR and the new, lighter weight Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 lens S II, the RS 4 is a beast to hand hold. I ended up adding the Small Rig handle and strap to make it reasonably comfortable to use. Unless you absolutely need a gimbal to go beyond the already impressive in-body stabilization in many newer cameras, save yourself the money and storage space and just use the built-in camera stabilization. With some practice, you can learn to capture very good footage without a big, heavy and bulky gimbal. ... show more
