I realized after taking a closer look, the struts were completely gone. Honestly I’m surprised they lasted 14 years. These new struts came with instructions to remove the old ones, and were easy to install. After I was done, the trunk worked as normal. Totally worth it. I think these were just over $20. Saved me a ton of cash having someone else do this for me.

ARANA Hood Struts -Toyota Camry 2007-2011, 6333 Enclosed instruction sheet was pretty clear but it still took me a little while to figure out the clever sliding clip attachment apparatus. I replaced the worn-out struts in about ten minutes once I figured that out (and found the clip that flew off the strut end when I was being too aggressive with it - take your time and be sure to slide it up just enough to open up the ball joint receptacle)

I recently acquired a pre-loved hardtop and had to replace the new struts the prior owner had (just) installed. The ones used were new from a different jungle river vendor, and while it was very nice of the PO to install them, they were not the same quality as these. These replacements are perfect - very pleased. Well made, and a great option for a very decent price. They hold the glass open - firmly - yet not too much, just right. I no longer feel glass has to be muscled shut and it opens gently and with ease. Easy to install. The pressure comparison is great, more quality feeling, no hiccups in the motion. Solid. Fast ship and exactly as described. A great experience with great follow-up from the seller to insure all is well!

Decided to try these because 1) $10 cheaper than Amazon's choice 2) Reviews were better. Installed easily, worked well. There are no real instructions, but look online. Note : (Not found anywhere online) In comparison with the original Lexus struts, there is a rubber boot to prevent water and debris from seeping into the strut on the original. So BEFORE you install, and BEFORE screwing on the end attachment on the new one, take the old Lexus one off, unscrew the end attachment of the old one, and remove the rubber boot from the old one, and put it on the new strut, then screw the end attachment on and install. Having the rubber boot should make it last longer, although at this price, you could save half an hour and just buy another spare pair. You might want to put some silicone grease on the inside of the boot to make it easier to slip on. Edit: The seller sent a automated message requesting to provide feedback on the product. I replied that I already provided positive 5 star feedback, to which the seller resent the same message. Therefore I am deducting one star from their excellent product for wasting my time.
