This item originally arrived with a broken piece of plastic that is suppose to hold the turn knob (in order to turn lamp on and off) and I was initially told by Amazon when I called them that I would have to take the whole thing apart and return it before receiving a new one and was then put on hold ): However, the company Niosta really stepped up to the task, acted quickly, asked for pictures and send me a new one that is working great. I love this lamp. The only thing is that as far as I know I'm not able to adjust the height as the cable goes all the way through it so it's a bit tall. This lamp is surprisingly very cute! I was looking for a basic lamp that wouldn’t stand out and would be versatile without breaking the bank, and this one is great. The base of the stand is surprisingly heavy, so I feel like the lamp is quite sturdy. The top of the shade gets a little hot, but that’s hardly anything to worry about. The chord does hang out if you adjust the lamp to be taller, but I used little pieces of black Velcro (you can probably also use tape or zip ties) to keep it trim and it’s not noticeable to all. I will say, the lightbulb that mine came with is SO cool toned it’s alarming - I already ordered new bulbs to replace it, so just be ready to do that. The one it comes with would be great for someone doing color sensitive work like painting etc, but it’s a bit unsettling for a calm living room. ... show more

Purchased for my paraplegic grandson to have next to his bed. We do like the switch in the cord making it accessible for him. But it’s fairly wobbly & the metal has bent where the poles fit together.

I cannot speak to the performance of this lamp because I never got to use it. I bought it to use with my LED red light therapy bulb, which is 36 watts. When I opened the box, the first thing I see is a piece of paper that says: Do not exceed 25 watts incandescent or 9 watts LED bulb. So unless you use the lamp with the bulb that comes with it or one that meets the said requirements, it's pretty useless. Needless to say, I had to return the lamp. It would have been helpful if they had stated this in the product description so I could have avoided purchasing something I would have to return. ... show more
