Top Amazon Reviews

  • This is a review of “Ninja MC2001 PossibleCooker PRO Plus, 8.5-QT Multicooker”
A Versatile Kitchen Companion with Manual Inaccuracies. As a long-time user of Ninja’s innovative appliance line, I was eager to see how the PossibleCooker PRO Plus would hold up against its predecessors. After putting this 8.5-quart multicooker through its paces—including a controlled test of every setting using a temperature gun—I have found it to be a capable addition to the kitchen. It excels as a space-saver but falls short in a few areas of precision and convenience that prevent it from being a perfect five-star product. Design and Performance Upgrades: The first thing you’ll notice about the Blue Macaron finish is how well it complements a modern kitchen aesthetic. Beyond the looks, this "Plus" model features a power upgrade to 1400 watts, which is a noticeable improvement over the standard 1200-watt version. This extra power translates to more effective searing and faster heat-up times. The 8.5-quart capacity is generous, making it an excellent choice for large families or meal prepping. One of the standout features is the removable oven-safe ceramic pot. Being able to transition a dish from the base directly into a 500°F oven to crisp up a topping is a major plus. The pot is also free of PFAS, PTFE, and PFOA, which provides peace of mind for health-conscious cooks. The controls are generally intuitive, and the included multi-functional spoon that rests on the lid handle is a clever, thoughtful touch for keeping counters clean. High-Altitude and Functional Limitations: Despite its strengths, several "missing" features and design choices keep this at a 4-star rating. For those living at high altitudes, the lack of a High-Altitude Adjustment setting is a significant drawback. This is particularly frustrating because the Rice and Pasta settings do not allow for manual time or temperature adjustments. Because water boils at a lower temperature at higher elevations, these "plug and go" settings become unreliable, forcing the user to manually bypass them using other functions—essentially defeating the purpose of the dedicated presets. Furthermore, there is some confusion regarding the Sear/Sauté function. While the manual suggests temperature increments between 250°F and 400°F, this specific model (MC2001) is limited to High, Medium, and Low settings. Additionally, the digital display for "Medium" appears as a backwards "7," which is a small but confusing UI quirk. Physical Design Concerns: There are a few physical limitations that affect daily use. The 31-inch power cord is quite short; if your outlet isn't directly behind the unit, you may find yourself pulling the cooker to the very edge of your counter or island to reach a plug. Additionally, while the stainless steel handles look premium, they retain heat. You must use oven mitts at all times, as there are no "stay-cool" covers included. The lid also features a steam vent hole that is over 1/4" wide. While this prevents the lid from rattling during a heavy boil, it allows a substantial amount of moisture and heat to escape during low-temperature cooking. I found myself having to use a silicone trivet to cover the hole to maintain the proper moisture levels for certain recipes. Missing Essentials: Finally, for a "PRO" level appliance at this price point, the lack of included accessories is disappointing. A roast/steamer rack is not included and requires an additional purchase, despite "Steam" and "Roast" being two of the nine advertised functions. Furthermore, there is no port for the Ninja Smart Thermometer, meaning you are limited to using third-party wireless probes if you want to monitor internal temperatures accurately. Overall: The Ninja PossibleCooker PRO Plus is a powerful, multifunctional tool that can certainly replace several appliances. However, the lack of altitude adjustments, the short cord, and the necessity of buying extra accessories for core functions make it a "good" rather than "great" investment. ... show more

  • Ninja Multi-Cooker That Actually Replaces Multiple Appliances
This 8.5-quart beast handles everything from searing steaks to proofing bread dough—finally one appliance that delivers on "multi" promises. The fast thermal technology genuinely speeds up slow-cook recipes without sacrificing tenderness; my usual 8-hour pot roast finished in 5. No ceramic insert means quicker heat-up and easier cleanup. The blue macaron color looks surprisingly elegant on my counter instead of the usual boring black. At this size, I fed 8 people chili with leftovers. Ninja's reputation holds—solid construction, intuitive controls, consistent results. If you're tight on counter space but want real cooking versatility, this replaces your slow cooker, Dutch oven, and sauté pan. ... show more

  • Can't go wrong with ninja
I've never had a slow cooker before but this thing is awesome! I can put together a stew and go about my day and have dinner ready for me. I feel like such an adult with the fact I actually love this thing. And the fact theres another part of it where you can take it out and put it in the dishwasher is awesome! The one I grew up with you had to handwash everything and I watched my grandma do it all by hand and try not to get any water on the plug. The spoon having a rest on top was such a nice touch too! Makes for super easy storage in between stirs. I have yet to use the other settings on it but honestly just as a slow cooker it's totally worth it! 1000% recommend ... show more
