  • Four Years and Hundreds of Pints Later, I Bought Another Creami
Style: CREAMi 7-in-1 w/ 2 Pints (Mocha)
I have an original Ninja® Creami® 7-in-1 Ice Cream Maker that I bought over four years ago. I love it, and it’s still going strong, but I decided to get this one in Mocha and hand my old one down to my daughter. I considered getting the larger model, but I like the small footprint of this one. I also prefer the smaller, 1-pint containers since I'm the only person in my home who eats Creami ice cream. Before getting my first Creami, I tried all the protein ice creams I could find, and I can honestly say that every Creami recipe I’ve made has surpassed every store-bought protein ice cream I’ve tried—and there have been many. They are also far less expensive, so I know I’ve already paid for my original Creami with the savings. I’m not saying every recipe has yielded great results, just that even the less successful ones have been better than the protein ice creams I’ve bought at the grocery store. When I Googled this Mocha Ninja® Creami®, I read that there were a few cosmetic changes, but that otherwise it was basically the same as my old one. I have to disagree. While the control panel has been rearranged a bit, the way the outer bowl attaches to the base has been greatly improved. I used to occasionally have trouble getting the outer bowl seated properly and moving it smoothly into position. This one attaches differently, and it works like a dream. This Creami still uses the same pint containers, which I appreciate. And the mocha coloring is especially sharp-looking. I’ve made regular ice creams, overnight oats ice creams, and low-calorie, high-protein ice creams with nut milks and protein powder. All have been very satisfying. For nut-milk-based ice creams, my preferred combination for keeping them smooth and creamy is Tara Gum and tapioca starch. I find that regular ice cream turns out best when made with half-and-half rather than heavy cream. One excellent basic vanilla recipe uses just 1½ cups half-and-half, ⅓ cup sugar, 2–3 teaspoons vanilla/vanilla paste, and a pinch of salt. With more than four years of experience and hundreds of pints of Creami ice cream under my belt, I’m confident I’ll get many years of use from my new Mocha Ninja® Creami®. They are well made and easy to use. Many people complain about how loud they are, but the noise has never bothered me. Like my original Ninja® Creami®, I expect this one will easily pay for its $229.99 price tag, too. ... show more

  • Ninja Creami
Style: CREAMi 7-in-1 w/ 2 Pints (Mocha)
I ordered the Ninja CREAMi 7-in-1 Ice Cream Maker and I can already tell this is going to get a lot of use in our house. The first thing we made was banana ice cream, and it was incredibly simple. We used bananas and monkfruit with no additional sweeteners, so I really liked being able to make a frozen treat using ingredients we chose instead of all the extra additives you often find in store-bought ice cream. The basic process is pretty straightforward. You prepare your ingredients in one of the CREAMi containers, freeze it until it is completely solid, and then put the frozen container into the machine and select the setting you want. After it processes, you can use the re-spin function if you want to adjust the texture. Our banana ice cream turned out really well, and the kids absolutely loved it. I did too, which is always a good sign that a new kitchen appliance is going to stick around. I especially like being able to make something that tastes like a treat while keeping the ingredients really simple. There is also a lot of room to experiment with different flavors and combinations, so I can see us having fun trying different recipes. I like that the machine does not take up an enormous amount of space either, while still giving you several different options for making frozen desserts. Our first batch was such a success that I already know this will not be one of those appliances that gets used once and then forgotten in a cabinet. We will definitely be using it a lot, and I am looking forward to trying more recipes. ... show more

  • It's Like Loud Magic!
Style: CREAMi 7-in-1 w/ 2 Pints (Mocha)
I've been a fan of Ninja appliances for years, this has confirmed my feelings. I started making the switch of all my appliances to Ninja several years back and the Creami has been on my wishlist but I was hesitant to spend the money on a "strange" ice cream maker, I wish I would have gotten it sooner. I'm currently avoiding complex carbs and sugars and this allows me to just freestyle and throw some tasty ingredients in and still spits out incredibly velvety smooth results. You couldn't do this kind of stuff in a standard ice cream maker, but because of how this machine chews through a solid block of ice to create the ice cream it's very forgiving and honestly works magic. You can avoid dairy, you can avoid sugars, you can make regular full fat/full sugar ice cream and they all just work! The machine feels very sturdy, materials feel quality, and it looks great. I was unsure at first about the brown and gold looking straight out of the 70s but now I wish all of my appliances were the same. One thing I will say is that the machine is definitely not quiet, it does only take a handful of minutes though and then you're good to go enjoy your tasty treat. Use and cleanup are both incredibly easy. You also get two containers so you can keep a rotation of flavors going. Honestly if you're even considering it, I can't speak highly enough. ... show more

  • Makes Very Unpleasant Tasting Ice Cream
Style: CREAMi 7-in-1 w/ 2 Pints (Mocha)
The Ninja® Creami® 7-in-1 Ice Cream Maker was a tremendous disappointment. This is my first Ninja device, but I’ve heard so many good things about Ninja products that I was very excited. We wanted to start with being basic, so we prepared the required recipe for vanilla ice cream. I prepared the mixture last night, following the instructions to the T. I pulled the frozen canister this evening and placed it in the Creami. It ran for a few minutes, operating very noisily. When it stopped, I removed the canister and opened it, seeing a pebbly mixture. The company says that if it’s dry and pebbly looking to run it on remix. I did that and it still came out all pebbly looking. At that point we took out the ice cream and tried it. The first impression was great. It tasted like good ice cream. Unfortunately, after a few minutes my wife and I both tasted like a waxy coating in our mouth from eating the ice cream. There was a very strong aftertaste and unpleasant coating in the mouth. This is not something I want to eat again. The Ice Cream Maker is fairly small, and seems like a sturdy and durable kitchen appliance. The instructions are clear and it’s easy to use. Unfortunately it doesn’t provide any food or treat that I care to try again. This was a great disappointment. I do not recommend it. I can purchase a lot of quality ice cream for the cost of this ice cream maker. ... show more

  • Versatile, Makes Excellent Frozen Treats
Style: CREAMi 7-in-1 w/ 2 Pints (Mocha)
The Ninja CREAMi 7-in-1 has been a great addition to the weekend treat center. It’s incredibly versatile and makes much more than traditional ice cream. Being able to make ice cream, sorbet, milkshakes and other frozen treats with the same machine gives you plenty of room to experiment with different recipes and ingredients. Tons of recipes are online. Creamify technology does an impressive job of turning a frozen base into a smooth, creamy texture. I especially like being able to customize recipes and add mix-ins such as chocolate, cookies, fruit, syrups. or candy. It’s also nice having control over the ingredients and sweetness compared with buying premade ice cream. There is a little planning involved since your mixture needs to be frozen ahead of time. 12 hours is the recommended freeze time. The machine is fairly loud while processing, but fortunately it doesn't run very long. 2 to 3 minutes. The Mocha color looks especially nice and gives this redesigned model a more upscale appearance. Cleanup is straightforward, and the controls are easy to understand after using it a couple of times. A bit confusing at first, but after a few runs you will be good to go. Overall, the machine is easy to use, fun to experiment with, and produces surprisingly creamy results. A great choice for anyone who enjoys making customized frozen desserts at home. Looks well built for the long haul. This is a pricey machine, but its Ninja quality and performance. ... show more

  • Like Having Our Own Custom Ice Cream Shop at Home!
Style: CREAMi 7-in-1 w/ 2 Pints (Mocha)
My family thinks the Ninja CREAMi is an awesome little machine. Ice cream has always been a treat in our family, and when the kids were growing up we have a lot of fond memories of going out for ice cream on warm days. One of their favorite places was Cold Stone Creamery because they could customize their ice cream with just about anything they wanted, whether it was Reese's Pieces, M&M's, nuts, fruit, sprinkles, or whatever else caught their attention. Now we basically have that same opportunity at home. Once we got the CREAMi, everyone immediately started coming up with ideas for flavors and mix-ins. For our first family creation, we agreed on something we all like and mixed a Kit Kat bar into the ice cream. We watched a few videos beforehand for tips on preparing and adding mix-ins, and the finished Kit Kat ice cream came out awesome. The Mix-In program makes experimenting with candy and other ingredients one of the most enjoyable parts of using this machine. For me, the fitness and strength nut in the family, I'm also looking forward to experimenting with high-protein ice cream and lighter recipes. This NC351BR is the redesigned version of the familiar 7-in-1 CREAMi, so you still get the Ice Cream, Lite Ice Cream, Sorbet, Gelato, Milkshake, Smoothie Bowl, and Mix-In programs in an updated design. It comes with two pint containers, but at the rate my family is coming up with flavor ideas, I can already see us ordering several more. Overall, this is a fun little appliance that not only makes great frozen treats, but has given the whole family something we can experiment with and enjoy together. ... show more

  • Excellent quality
Style: CREAMi 7-in-1 w/ 2 Pints (Mocha)
I absolutely love my Ninja Creami! Every Ninja brand product I've owned has been great quality, and this is no exception. It's simple to use, and the instructions are both detailed and incredibly useful. As someone who loves to have ice cream to end my night, this has been a fantastic addition to our kitchen. Ninja has a variety of Creami recipes, but there are endless options to make. I particularly like mixing half greek yogurt and half chocolate milk for a protein-filled treat. My husband likes a mashed banana with orange juice and little bit of greek yogurt. There are so many ways to make healthier, tasty frozen treats. You can also make non-healthy, full fat ice cream that can be customized to your personal preferences. Either way, this machine performs well and has been a great value for us. It saves us money on less healthy ice cream options or going out to the ice cream parlor, and it makes ice cream that is just as smooth and delicious as I could get from the store. We'll be using this regularly! ... show more

  • Everything but the color
Style: CREAMi 7-in-1 w/ 2 Pints (Mocha)
This ice cream maker is fantastic! It has seven different modes, each creating a unique frozen dessert. I initially thought I could just use fresh fruit to make a cold dessert, but that’s not the case. You’ll need to pre-freeze the ingredients first. The equipment is incredibly powerful, and each mode produces its own distinct product. The textures are also spot-on. This is a great value for a durable and reliable product that has turned my home into an ice cream shop. The noise level is a bit higher than my vacuum, but lower than my blender. It’s in the middle range. The only downside is its color. The mocha color is simply out of date and ugly per my personal opinion. ... show more
