  • Superior design for a combo coffee maker. Great coffee while saving space! Superior design for a combo coffee maker. Great coffee while saving space!
Just got this product and I am so impressed. Got this to replace another, expensive, well-known brand, combo coffee maker. The Ninja is about the same price but is so much better in so many ways. First, it takes up only 7” of counter space width-wise under my cabinets. That is remarkable for a combo coffee maker and it is a credit to the superior design. My former coffee maker took up twice that amount of space. Full disclosure, as you can see in the second photo I posted, the 7” max width is because I positioned the water reservoir on the back of the unit vs on the right side of the unit. You have the option of setting it up either way. Out of the box the reservoir was on the side. Very easy to switch but take a minute to read the quick setup instructions. The next big enhancement relative to my former, brand name maker is that the reservoir for brewing a full pot of coffee is the same one as for brewing k-cups and is super easy to fill. My old one required a contortionist to angle water to fill the reservoir when you wanted to brew a pot vs a cup of coffee. Filling it almost always resulted in water all over the counter. After just one day of use, the third great feature of this Ninja over my former brand name appliance is that there is a separate water line running from the main reservoir to the brewing unit for when you just want to fill a cup with hot water for tea or hot cider or hot chocolate. This means you do not risk degrading your alternative drink with coffee residue. I have not used the milk frother which is tucked neatly into the side of the unit but look forward to giving it a try. So cleverly designed it takes a little while to figure it out if you are used to the typical clunky designs on most combo units. I noticed some reviews indicating the unit did not function very well with k-cups but I do not understand that at all. We already brewed several non-Keurig brand k-cups and the unit worked seamlessly and brewed great cups of coffee. Hoping this unit will continue to perform well as the design is fantastic. I have a very large kitchen but no one wants to waste valuable counter space. ... show more

  • My FAVORITE coffee maker!! My FAVORITE coffee maker!!
Dec 2023 update. I have this same model at work for the coffee kcup drinkers. I accidentally ordered a box of green tea kcups instead of pods. One day, I wasn't feeling well and broke out a tea kcup to throw in the machine. I didn't rinse off the pieces first. To my happiness, my tea didn't taste at all like coffee. Didn't have grounds in it either. So, there's that! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is my 2nd ninja coffee maker. As long as they keep innovating their products, I will be a dedicated fan. I had my first Ninja for 3 years before it started to leak. I had taken for granted how easy the Ninja made my morning routine, so I bought a different brand as a replacement that looked "fine". It was fine, but was more involved than I wanted it to be. And I missed my Ninja. Also, when I found out that Ninja has a separate line for hot/boiling water, I became obsessed with getting my hands on it. PROS: Convenient water reservoir - 60 oz - that can be moved to the back from the side, if that suits your set up. Easy reservoir to remove, fill, and return to the base. Or, fill with a pitcher. Delay start - I mean, who doesn't like to have their coffee waiting for them. SEPARATE HOT/BOILING WATER DISPENSER for tea, hot chocolate, instant oatmeal, instant soups, etc. This is an amazing option to have available!! No tea drinker likes using the coffee maker for their tea. This is a total game changer. Coffee pod adapter - if you like to use pods, you have that option. And it is easy to use and easy to clean. [I bought this same machine for my office lunchroom. It meets everybody's needs. The tea drinker gets his tea, everybody gets to choose their favorite coffee pod, and everyone gets to choose the strength of coffee they want. We stored the carafe, as we aren't likely to use it much there.] Cone shaped permanent filter, with option to add a paper filter (size 2 fits perfectly; size 4 fits, but needs to be squished down) if you prefer. Loose grounds really make the best coffee. Wide range of coffee sizes to choose from (unless you use pods, and then you are limited, probably bc it doesn't make sense to make 20 oz of coffee with a pod) Open/close manual feature. If you are waiting for the pot to fill and need to sneak a cup, I really like that there is a slide knob to manually move from right to left, AND it shows you on the display panel if it is open or closed. Built in coffee scoop. I can never find mine for some reason. The fact that this one has a storage spot on the machine makes my mornings super easy. Frother. It doesn't heat your milk, but it is fun to use. It is attached to the machine, and pulls in and out for easy use. It lies flush when stored. The frother part is easy to remove for easy cleaning. A really fun bonus. Sometimes I froth my creamer before adding it, cold even, and it's just a little different treat. The control panel is intuitive and easy to use to select your favorite options. It didn't take a lot of thought to make an assortment of coffee styles. I love that. Cleaning feature for descaling. Personally, I prefer having this option than not. You can use vinegar or coffee descaler. Cup platform. Also attached to the machine, and flips up and out of the way when not in use. Perfection. Smart hot plate. The user manual says this isn't available on all models, but it is included on mine. (Possibly not on the models with thermal carafe?) This it's my second newest favorite feature. Small size cups of coffee do not turn on the hot plate, but half carafe or larger does (you also have the option of manually turning the hot plate on to keep a cup of coffee warm). So, I can use any travel mug with this machine and make almost limitless sizes that I want. The machine tells you how many ounces and the quick start guide tells you how many of their scoops to use, from individual cups all the way to a full carafe. *****There is little-to-no thinking involved******. Which leads to my next favorite feature. The footprint is fairly small, given all the features. The Ninja machine at work is set up for daily pod use. My machine at home is set up for grounds in a filter. Changing back and forth isn't that hard, but being able to use the machine the way I want to without changing it, is absolute perfection. Granted, I am the only person at my home using this machine, but adding the pod adapter isn't hard at all. The Ninja pod adapter is the only thing you have to change to use a pod. The top cover slides back, and you drop in the adapter and slide it forward to lock it in. To go back to filter, you push the adapter backward to unlock the adapter, pop it out, put the permanent filter back in, and slide the cover forward. That's it. Cons I had a little struggle at set up with both office and home machines understanding how the cover and adapter worked together and getting them to operate smoothly. This was totally fixable by a thorough reading of the instructions, but once I got it, I got it, and I feel silly that it took me a minute. Maybe bc the feature is totally different than any other coffee maker. The user manual says that reusable pod filters are not compatible. However, it is easy to use the permanent filter, even for small cups of coffee, that this shouldn't be a deal breaker. SUMMARY The build is solid, intuitive, and multifunctional with very little thought required. Easily adaptable and useful for multiple types of hot beverage drinkers. I am so happy with my Ninja coffee maker. It just makes my mornings go smoother on my way out the door, or enjoying a specialty coffee on the weekends. You really can't go wrong here. Highly recommend 👌!! ... show more

  • Great machine
I’m in love with this machine. I just got it last night and have already used it 3 times 🤣 It comes packaged very nicely and secure. It’s very easy to use. It also heats up quickly, even when setting it to boil. The build quality is okay- it’s feels sturdy and sticks to your counter. The only part I’ve found to be a little flimsy is the slider door to access the coffee filter and where you put the grounds in. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to fly off but doesn’t feel as secure as it should. But that’s a major critique and it still feels very high quality. Definitely better than some of the others. The carafe is awesome and very easy to clean. The water reservoir is a bit of a challenge though due to its narrowness. I’d recommend something similar to a bottle brush to clean it well. The reusable filter and canister are simple to take apart and clean. The dial and the screen are also very clear and simple to use. I love that when it’s off it turns all the lights off and dims the clock and power button so less light is emitted. It brews an awesome cup of boiling water for tea and an excellent cup of coffee. I hope this can last a long time as I’ve seen people use these for years with no issues. I have yet to use the frother or to do a deep cleaning cycle on it but I’ll keep you updated. Overall an excellent machine and definitely worth what I paid- which was $150 on a Black Friday deal. I’d definitely explore my options though if I had to pay the full price. ... show more

  • Great quality brewer.
Love it. so tired of $200 Keurig only lasting six months. After the 3rd one started having issues I went on a search for a new brand. I did a lot of research to find a new brand of coffee pot. This had good reviews and is serving my purposes very well. No more keurig for me. The milk frother is a bonus feature and I really like it. The coffee is hot. There are different brew ounces. It fits all kinds of k cups. I haven’t tried the k cup adapter but it does low for one. Very happy. ... show more

  • DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COFFEE MAKER
After dealing with many K cups exploding coffee grinds I noticed that my K cup compartment only has one needle and it should have three. I called up ninja and the woman I spoke to took down my model number and said yes it should have three needles on top. I paid over $10 for them to ship me the right K cup compartment & 4 days later I received the K cup compartment and it was the same part with the one needle. I called back again and got a guy that proceeded to tell me they discontinued making the three needle but if I change my coffee brand K cups, I should have no problem. He insisted that there were no complaints but if you look in the reviews, there are many complaints about them exploding and have a coffee grinds in their cup. My friend who has the same exact coffee maker, has the three needles and has never had a problem, I also took different brands of K cups and tried it, and they still exploded. I only use Keurig and the only reason I got this one was for the Separate hot water. Also, the coffee does not come out hard enough and you have to microwave it. This was a lot of money to waste plus K cups are not cheap, so I will be returning to a Keurig customer. ... show more

  • Great coffee maker!
We love this coffee maker! The temperature is hotter than our previous brands and it brews a stronger cup with less coffee. That’s a win if nothing else. That’s really the only reason we didn’t like our previous coffee maker. The Ninja has a ton of options for a variety of coffee drinkers and we especially appreciate the hot water feature. It’s extremely well thought out with the K-cup option and the option of the different water tank locations. We like it to the side. It has not leaked any and is easy to clean! Although we haven’t used the milk frother yet as we are basic coffee purists, it’s nice to have for company. We use the delay feature for the morning brew and can set it before we go to bed. Love waking to the smell. The carafe doesn’t have cup marks on the glass but the water container does, so that’s not an issue for us. All in all we are extremely pleased to finally have a great and hot cup of coffee in the mornings. The process was worth it! ... show more

  • Perfect for a pot of coffee in the morning, cup in the evening
We bought the Ninja CFP-307 to reclaim counter space. It takes the place of out K-Cup brewer and Drip coffee makers (both Cuisinart) The footprint is especially narrow if you move the water reservoir to the back of the machine. The water tank is clearly marked and easy to handle with the right hand. The controls are not quite industry standard but if you own other Ninja products you should only have to read them once. Setting the time, timer for delay brew and pot size generate easy, positive feedback on the panel. I did not test latte/cappuccino or the milk frother but the frother worked and tucks out of the way when not needed. Positives: Machine is easy to clean. Brews from 1 cup to a 12 cup pot. Switching from K-Cup to pot and back is easy. Includes a permanent filter but paper #4 cone filters (Melita) work as well. The coffee measuring cup has its own storage space on the left side of the machine. For our purposes 5 Ninja scoops equaled 4 scoops for our other machine. You can also, with the twist of a dial, make a cup to a pot of hot water. Cons: I worry about the durability of the touch panel. A hot damp environment is not good for circuits. I can only trust that Ninja properly sealed it from the elements. IF you're tired and don't pay attention, it's easy to set everything up and wake up in the morning to a pot of hot water (!) because you forgot to turn the dial from water to coffee. For the "Rich" coffee setting it just uses less water for the pot so it's a pointless setting. You can leave the brew on "Classic" and just add an extra scoop to the basket. ... show more

  • A solid and HOT cup of coffee A solid and HOT cup of coffee
I wanted the convenience of a pod but the option for a full pot. After quite a bit of research and a few disappointing returns i settled on the Ninja Dualbrew CFP307. While features were important to me, one thing stood above all else, the ability to make good coffee. As many of you might know a huge component of good coffee is hot water. I am happy to report that the CFP307 gets nice and hot. I was getting 198 on "rich" setting measuring right where the water drips out of the machine. This means the water may be even hotter when hitting the grounds. The "classic" setting was around 194. However not all ninja dualbrews are created equally apparently. I didnt realize but amazon has multiple modes all grouped together. When selecting the buying options it sounds like your just selecting if you want the additional milk froather and permanent filter but they are intact diffrent models. The first one i got was the CFP401A. That model lacked the independent water feature and the water temperature was coming out at low 180s. The models look nearly identical so be careful. One thing I do want to mention is the 307 is an upgrade over the 407 in nearly every way except 2 things, pot size and pod function. The 407 is 72oz and the 307 is a max of 55oz. The pod function on the 407 has 3 water spouts that puncture the pod where the 307 only has 1. At first I was really bummed about this. However after doing some research i found that ninja sells the pod adapter apparatus with the 3 water spouts on their website and its compatible with the 307. I haven't ordered it yet and it might be a marketing gimmick. Keurig was the first one to come out with "multistream" technology and it makes sense logically to me. More spouts puncture the pod alowing for water to more evenly cover the grounds in a pod which in turn means better extraction which makes a better cup of coffee. This might not matter to some people but I wanted to mention it. Overall I am very happy with the 307 it makes a very nice cup of coffee, its feature rich and good build quality. The ability to dispense clean water for tea or other drinks without it tasting like old coffee water is great. I like that the water reservoir is movable from side to back and while the froather doesnt heat it works well and is very easy to clean. If your in the market for a "dual" brewing machine I highly recommend checking out the Ninja 307 ... show more
