The pros are that this machine performs at the levels you see in the positive reviews. It is powerful. My wife says she can make our infant daughter's food in less than half the time as the machine we had before and it is prepared far more even / fine. I like the versatality of the machine. The main issue (currently the only issue, but we only just got it) is that the containers are all plastic. And thin plastic at that. I expected strong, heavy duty glass for this price. I admit I didn't read any description beyond the highlights and reviews, and brand recognition. Regardless, my old Oster blender cost $20 and the pitcher was strong, thick , heavy glass. It doesn't do everything this Ninja does, but still...something to consider if you are thinking of buying. At the end of the day, I don't regret buying it. But, in hindsight, I'd have researched other options at this price. ... show more

    • Great blender, but motor wears out
I’ve had this blender for just over a year now. I use it 2-3 times per week to make smoothies and it works really well. It’s easy to use and high powered which makes blending quick and easy. However, after a year of use the motor in the base stopped working. The product warranty is only 6 months, so I had to call Ninja to get a replacement base. I will say Ninja’s customer support was friendly and helpful. They also gave me 50% off the price of the base, but it was still $50 to replace. It’s possible this is a fluke and my base was faulty, all other parts and accessories have held up well over the past year. Giving this 4 stars because I’ve been very pleased with how the blender has performed over the year and Ninja’s customer service was great. ... show more

Mine was broken in transit, they replaced it immediately with no problem. Continuous use ever since I bought it, amd it still works as new. Freezing bananas and adding cream and fruit to make ice cream is so much fun.

The “to go” cup lid does not have a cover over the drink hole as to not spill. Can’t pack in one’s lunch or take on the go. Will spill out! Disappointed!!!

We use only frozen fruit and it’s like incredibly fast at blending them for smoothies! No issues at all. The food processor is amazing! Haven’t had a problem w meat or anything yet! Worth the money.
