I was actually on the search for well-made plastic cups that had lids with a spout when I ran across replacement cups for this device. I decided to have a look at the actual blender, read reviews, watched some YouTube videos and decided I couldn’t live without one. I do a lot of cooking and I make a lot of fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies for my family so this was literally the answer to my prayers. I ordered additional cups with lids in different sizes and we are no longer fighting about what kind of smoothie we’re having. Everyone grabs a cup, everyone gets to have their own individual smoothie and, I just pop the glasses into the dishwasher, no more washing a gigantic blender by hand. The blender works absolutely perfectly and after just a few days, I am certain I have tried every possible combination of fruits and vegetables, all working perfectly. I love that they have the large container for smoothies that are going to be a meal, a medium size that can be used for drinking cups or when I’m splitting a smoothie between two of the little ones. The smallest size is perfect for my dressing recipes and it’s wonderful that I can just screw the lid on and when I want to serve the dressing, it’s ready to go with the flip up top. I typically use my big blender anywhere from 2 to 4 times a day and I have to say this was putting a real strain on me. I still use it for grinding grains and making sauces for our meals but am finding that it is so much easier to, eat healthy when we have bubbles filled with fruits and vegetables and can make a smoothie with so little effort and we each get exactly what we want. The cups are the perfect size to fit in the cupholders in the car and I don’t have to worry about the kids spilling. I can’t say enough about the Ninja. Love the suction cup base, the sturdy cups and lids, easy to use controls and clean up. Yesterday I made a smoothie in one cup and green goddess dressing in the other. The smoothie setting is just the right amount of time regardless what’s in your cup. It also came with a recipe book for all kinds of smoothies and alcoholic drink recipes. I have all Ninja kitchen products- even the multi kitchen tool one- but I still got this to have in another part of the house for my morning protein. It is not as loud as the multi kitchen tool ninja but it's still powerful. I think it's similar to a nutribullet noise level but you have the ninja motor. I also bought the Nutribullet. The best part of the Ninja is that you just press the smoothie button, and it goes through it's on and off mixing and pulverizes the greens and carrots for better nutrient absorption. It turns off after a minute. On both blenders, I wear noise reduction ear muffs to protect my ears. The Ninja is especially high pitched annoying if I don't. The advantages to the Nutribullet are less annoying noise, and easier to move around. ... show more

This works perfect for my protein shakes. It chops up the ice with ease and is super-fast. I only have one complaint. The measurement markings wiped off after just a couple uses. With just wet fingers if rubs right off. I don't know if I just got a couple from a bad batch or they all do this, but it is a little frustrating. It is impossible to see the lines while trying to fill it. I wish the lines were molded into the cup like the logo. That would make this a perfect product. ... show more

I have probably quadrupled my vegetable intake since buying this monster. I think the machine could grind up rocks. When it starts up in smoothie mode the torque is strong enough to spin the machine slightly in the opposite direction. Do you remember Newton’s 3rd law of motion? At any rate, the suction cups should take care of that. I haven’t used them and the machine is not in danger of falling over. I like the auto smoothie function. Just select the function and forget it. It takes about a minute to run the cycle. Only negative I have encountered is it is as loud as a jet turbine at start up and I should know having flown jets. My Nutribullet broke down and so I needed a replacement. I was unhappy towards the end of use with the Nutribullet so I search and came across a variety of Ninja blenders. I eventually settle on the Ninja BN401 Nutri Pro Compact Personal Blender, Auto-iQ Technology, 1100-Peak-Watts. I received it yesterday and used it today 2/28 and let me tell you it is 100% worth it. Its super powerful 1100 watts vs Nutribullet 600 watt and let me just say this, Nutribullet was a great blender for me I loved it and it worked for a variety of uses. But I wanted something with a little more power because I noticed some large objects were not breaking down and when I drank it would have chunks. So now that I have used the Ninja it blends everything and leaves no chunks. The design looks very beautiful and sleek I love the spout lid its so convenient and works very well no spills. Downsides it doesn't hold as much as the Nutribullet cups. The Nutribullet cups are more wide and the Ninja cups are more narrow so you have to be careful with filling to much contents. Ninja blender cord is just to short this is probably the biggest negative about this blender It was such a surprise to me of how short the cord was it cannot be to far from the outlet and if you have a small counter space this could be a problem so I suggest buying an extension cord for greater distance. ... show more

I was not prepared for how good this blender is. I bought it because you can get stainless cups for it, which means less plastic in my food prep. But what I discovered is that the smart-smoothie setting makes the best drinks I've ever had at home.
