Bought this thing more for decoration than function if I'm being perfectly honest, but I'm actually super impressed at how beefcake it actually is. I'm not going to chain up to a stump and test it for it's breaking point in thousands of pounds but it feels like it's probably capable of quite a lot. Color is nice on the blue, paint job is respectable. The little rubber shackle guard is classy too- nice touch. It's not too rattly in and of itself but being a SOLID shank, there's no clever way to use an anti-rattle hitch pin, but so be it. This thing is HEAVY. Like BEEFCAKE. Fits a standard receiver just fine, no complaints. In my application, the shank could have been a little shorter, but again- it's for decoration more than anything so perhaps I'll just saw for 3 hours to take a couple inches off and then drill for another couple of hours to move the pin hole up a little. Or maybe I'll just let it ride, instead.

Heavy and well made product, haven't had an opportunity to use it yet, but looks very good. I've been an avid off-roader for almost 40 years and used various items over the years, I'm very pleased with this set and can't wait to use it. Money well spent on the right tool, have no doubt about functionality and size, like the Allen head retainer on the shackles for security and keeping it from coming loose.

Looks good, feels strong and solid. comes with extra rubber washers for D-shackle, easy install in the 18’ Tacoma. Little damage on the shackle from shipping, but it weighed 10lbs, so not surprising it would poke through the box a bit.

I like the product so far. I haven't had a opportunity to use it, but it seems up to the task. The only draw back that i don't like is how short the overall length is. It only sets about 2" inside the receiver. That allows for it to flop around and rattle. I know i can buy a product to stop that but should i really have too?

I bought it to keep in my truck in case I have to pull someone out from being struck. Or to be used in case I get stuck. I haven't used it in that capacity, but it fits perfectly in the receiver, and I can tell that it will take a beating and last a long time. I'm glad I purchased it.

I drag downed - dead trees on my property to be bucked out and limbed. Often, I have to drag them up to 75 yards to get to a clearing and have to navigated around other trees and navigate uneven ground. I use an aggressive trunk cinch chain and was looping the hook end over a tow ball on my class 3 hitch. I know better now, NEVER drag anything with a tow ball, the ball is not designed for that kind of lateral stress. Watched a good YouTube video and saw this kind of D-ring set up and the explanation made so much sense to me. I turn the D-ring vertically and it swings freely L/R and allows the cinch chain to articulate as well in that direction. Not to mention the increased safety. This is a heavy-duty item, and I see no issues with it. I did remove the little plastic cover over the D-ring as it will only get destroyed in my usage.
