Description

The 12x25 Travelite Binocular is a lightweight and compact optic with a powerful magnification to bring distant subjects up close for detailed observations. It features a fully multi-coated optical path and an ergonomic housing — making it an ideal companion for outdoor enthusiasts, sports spectators, and city sightseers alike. Complementing the travel-friendly size are aspherical lenses that reduce the curvature that can distort the field of view as well as BAK4 reverse Porro prisms that work together to present flat high-contrast images with lifelike color and consistent center-to-edge sharpness. Combined with a 13 ft close focus distance, this 12x25 binocular is ready for almost any mid- to long-range glassing task. Responsibly sourced and containing no lead or arsenic, Nikon's Eco-Glass is used in all the lenses and prisms, to be ecologically friendly. • Perfect travel binoculars. Small. Light. Good magnification.
I bought one pair of these from Amazon in Used condition but the prism in one eye piece wasn't properly aligned. I see this problem has been mentioned in other reviews. I was able to return them with no trouble and bought a pair in NEW condition. This time everything was perfect. Very nice and sharp. I have a trip to Costa Rica coming up so I wanted a pair that allowed me to look at things in a forest. So up at the top of a tree, not on mars. These are 12-25. The 12 is the magnification and 12X is just fine for what I need. If you get too much magnification you will find the image is hard to keep stable and you are so zoomed in it's hard to actually find what you are looking for. I also need something water proof, light and something that works well in low light situations. The 25 in the title is the size of the lens. Bigger means they let in more light. Bigger lenses are nice but add to the size and weight. I hate to suggest "showrooming" but you might want to pop down to an REI and what fits in your hands, what kind of weight you want, etc. It's tough to pick binoculars on the internet. But if you do decide on a small travel pair, these are the guys you want. ... show more

  • Great little bino's for all kinds of viewing.
Always loved the Nikon products, have used their camera gear for 40 years. Lite weight and super easy to focus. Good for birding as well as concerts and sporting events. You can't beat the price for the magnification and size. Good glass makes these a great buy.

  • All I need for hunting and birding.
I just bought my third pair of the 12x Nikon travel lite binoculars. Not too much magnification, but all I need. The optics are clear and the overall package is light weight. So easy to carry I don't even own another binocular. I love these binoculars and so does my wife.

  • Clear image and easy to use
Out of the box, the only set up needed is to attach the straps. It is easy to focus and has separate focus for each eye. The image is sharp and bright. We are pleased with these lightweight binoculars.

  • These little compact binoculars work, and they last a long time
The only thing I dislike about them is that they are a little bit too small but they are great binoculars. I thought I’d lost the first pair so I bought another pair. Found them after I thought I lost them so I returned the new pair that Ijust bought from Amazon and my old pair works just like they are new. ... show more

  • Good binoculars but...
(Update) After using these on about 10 hunts the grip on the out side of the binoculars fell off. I guess it is just glued on there however I can't find it to glue back on. This is not impeding the use much at all but just a flaw as I haven't used these much yet and was sad to see I lost it somehow. I traded up from the big bulky binoculars to these and I will never go back! Lightweight but even more important crystal clear and great quality! ... show more

  • I Can See Clearly Now
These Nikon Binoculars' are so much better than my old pair. Small, light weight with 12x closer brings the action up personal and picture is crystal. Highly recommended.
