I've been taking notes for weeks on learning all I can about my new camera and accessories. One tip was when buying filters, to buy the largest size and then buy cheap step up rings so you can use the one filter on many lenses. Another tip was to get at least one cheap filter to act as a lens protector (since you can't use something like a screen protector film). The UV filter is cheapest and has no effect on my images so it stays on unless I'm going to use something else. In any case, in having the largest size filter now always on my camera (82mm for my Nikon Z6II), I wanted to get lens caps to fit on them (per lens). I wasn't sure if they would still fit such a narrow filter, but they fit any of the ones I have. These lens caps are the new kind and look so much better than the old Nikkor style. The old style is black font on a black lens cap, where these are silver font on black. They match the NIKON on the front of the viewer too, making the overall camera looks much more prestigious in my opinion. I love them and will be buying one each time I buy a new lens so I can keep a UV filter on each to protect the expensive lenses and these gorgeous caps to protect the filters! ... show more

It is never a good day when you loose a lens cap. Fortunately I got this replacement quickly, it fits perfectly, and has all the makings of an authentic Nikon product. Very satisfied!

Be careful. What you get may not be an authentic Nikon product. Mine wasn't. You can tell by looking for a hole in the side of the cap that's there for when you want to loop in a lanyard so you can 'tie' it to your camera lens so it's harder to accidentally loose.
