These are pretty cool night vision binoculars! I've never owned anything like this before, but it works far better than I expected. First the pros.... I really like the overall design of this device. It's a good size and comfortable to hold onto. The screen is large and the rubber seal that touches your face makes it comfortable to use. Even though this is advertised as binoculars and sort of feels like them, that's not quite what they are. This is more along the lines of an electronic monocular because only one of the circles at the front is a camera, the other is the IR light. The device is easy to use and I tested it at short-range, mid-range, and long-distance. At short range (about 50 feet), the night vision works great. You can see lots of details, just not fine details. There is a focusing wheel on the bottom of the device, but I had a hard time seeing anything in super-fine detail (this makes me question the 4K abilities of the device). I next tested the night vision at mid-range (about 250 feet) and was able to make out some details. Again, things weren't super clear, but I could definitely see more than I'd of seen without this device. I then tested it at long-distance (around 1000 feet) and found the IR did not work at all that far. There was no advantage when using this device (even at the highest IR level) to view things at long distances...it was just as difficult to see things with this as it was without. Now the cons.... I really don't like that there is a power button on top that doesn't work until you flip the on/off switch located on the bottom, it just doesn't make sense to me. Also, as mentioned above, you're not going to get super clear images when using the night vision. You can get clearer images in the day time, but at night it's not even close to 4K, let alone 1080p. I would also have really liked to have a zoom option. This thing is permanently zoomed in, which means you can't really use this for short range. It seems to me that this was a missed opportunity as I, and I'm sure others, would have enjoyed being able to use these at very close range. I should also mention that I didn't test the recording functions of this device so I can't comment about how fast or well it records images and video. I ordered this mostly just to play around with and don't have any intention of using it record things right now. But if you live somewhere with an active nocturnal wildlife scene, the recording features could be a lot of fun. One last note, in case it matters to anyone: the IR light glows red. It's not exactly a dim red either - it's quite bright. If you plan to use this for something like private detective work, you should be aware that the glowing red light is likely to be seen by whomever you're monitoring. Overall, I'm really happy with this device. If you're looking for a good entry-level night vision unit, this works well and is pretty fun to play with!

Very nice clear night vision binoculars, they are very nice, have a clear Image, very nice to see your surroundings at night, the actual binoculars are solid, the thing I really feel like they should include is a storage pouch or box, these being of the quality they are one would really want to store them In padded box or storage pouch, has provision to add a SD storage card, and can take pics, not sure if short videos as well, the light in the screen helps view dark areas, the digital close up is not bad, nice product over all.

These binoculars do allow you to see in low light - we plan to have fun seeing nocturnal animals, and they work well for that. They won't show anything in 'no light', but even with very low light you can make out a lot of details. Since they are binoculars, you can't really use them to see clearly in a small, indoor room, but that's not their real purpose, of course. NOTE: The model being sold is different from the one I ordered from this company - it has more features at a higher cost. I can't comment on the upgraded model.

I was at first a little bugged by the way these work, with a video screen inside them. I was expecting binocular-type viewing. But after testing & getting used to them, I'm happy with them. Hard to beat for the price. Would order again.

Haven't put it through and real test yet, but so far just playing around with it, it's well done. Easy to use, buttons a little harder to reach if you have smaller hands, but other than that it's nice.
