PROS: The customer service DOES respond to emails and phone calls. It does work in complete darkness. It's strength is that it does have a fairly strong IR emitter. You can plug this up to an external charger with the included micro-USB cable and run it from that. Which is great. You can mount it on a tripod. It works in day or night - AND it records video and snapshots. It is fairly rugged. CONS: This unit is not binoculars. There is only one imager that feeds a 2in display, which is magnified to 4 inches by a convex lens. This is really a video camera that sees IR, but it works pretty good. It DOES NOT capture audio. My battery covers both broke, but their customer service person promised to send me replacements free of charge. The rubber shroud around the viewport also tends to stay in whatever shape you bend it into, probably from rubber fatigue. And it does not have a cut-out for the bridge of your nose, which means it does not fit flush to your face and it will let light from the display bleed out, which means that you are visible at night. The zoom is not great, but it works. They claim multiple levels of zoom, but there are really only two levels of zoom. The AA batteries in my unit last only about 3 hours. I tried Duracell and Energizer and only got 2 hours at full brightness and IR. I got a little over 3 hours at minimum display brightness and IR. The rubber flap that covers the ports should fold down rather than up to make this rain and splash proof. And the rubber flap is hard to close and keep closed. The display's brightness has to be adjusted by the menu, which is difficult. I have found that anything less than full-bright is not sufficient. And it's heavy. The images in the advertisement are completely photoshopped. The daytime pictures are not nearly as clear and colorful as they look in the ad. The night time pics are not nearly as clear as they look in the ad. This IS NOT for military or tactical use. The manual is very short and sparse.

Item has good structure (smooth exterior and well built). Screen is bright and eye piece comfortable. Buttons are difficult to find in the dark, setting get changed that weren't needed to be changed because of this. The zoom in features is overly blurred, a tripod is needed. So the goggles basically have one hand held setting available. The cap that covers the ir lens during the day, and at night it appears it should cover the other side (regular lens) due to the revar lens picking up excess light from near by reflective surfaces. Ir lens works without other regular lens at night. Functionity: this would be better priced at $150 not $199.

My hubbs just finished his second hunting season with this gift we’ve haven’t replace batteries yet. He does not use video fetus but he loves the advantage this product offers.

Upon receiving these night vision binoculars and reading the instructions, the first battery compartment tab you push in to remove the cover fely very strange - soft, if you will. The second compartment tab snapped off inside the compartment completely. I suppose I could try inserting a small screwdriver in to wedge it out, but it's obviously not supposed to work that way and it would likely end up damaging the compartment latches. Bring that I don't see any design change they'd do to fix it. Perhaps the plastic compound they use in manufacturing isn't up to par, but i don't think another unit will be any different, so I'm returning it and not asking them to replace it. Very poor quality in the plastic. I never got a chance to see how it works.

This is my second one because the first one I got was a return that was opened and missing parts. Got the second one but wish I had just returned it. As a hunter this is just way too big for a carrying bag and super bulky. Video is ok not super clear but not the worst. Size and weight is a huge down fall
